Ranma's New Fiancees: Akane's reaction to Asuka? [Episode 60601]

Soun nodded. "What are you trying to say, Nabiki?"

"That you made the promise to unite the two families when you sealed that Master in that cave?" prompted Nabiki.

"Yes, your point?" Genma asked. Ancient history. Why dwell on the past?

Nabiki watched the two carefully. "So this would mean that Asuka's engagement to Ranma predates the whole 'unite the two families' pledge, right?"

"Well, yes, that makes sense," agreed Soun. "I don't see what... oh."

The sound of a clock ticking somewhere in the house was briefly the only sound heard.

Asuka knelt before the tied up boy so she could introduce himself and get a better look. "Hi there. I'm Asuka Langley Soryuu. I'm a German transfer student and I plan on following a career in law enforcement, just like my uncle!"

Nabiki half-turned, a slight feeling of dread creeping in. "Your uncle? Law enforcement?"

Asuka turned a falsely innocent smile towards Nabiki. "Yeah! I want to be a motorcycle cop! Maybe eventually pilot a police chopper, join the SWAT team. That sort of thing."

"Oh really?" Nabiki said casually as sweat began to trickle down her back.

Akane was about to proclaim her absolute disinterest further in the matter when this sudden delightful image played before her mind's eye. Tatewaki Kuno meeting this girl. Tatewaki Kuno groping this girl. Tatewaki Kuno getting beaten up by a lot of police officers and thrown into a cold jail cell from which he is never heard from again.

• Akane decides she wants to be this girl's friend. A world without Kuno? That's too important to jeapordize right now over Ranma!
• Akane likes the idea of being a cop, though she's never considered it before now. You get to practice martial arts, beat up perverts, and throw them in jail if they give you a hard time. Where does she sign up?!
• As one of the above, but it is Ranma who thinks of it.
• An unseasonably chill wind swirls in. Looks like Rei has arrived.
• something else
