Suddenly, both Knuckles and Pikachu were lying stunned just around the gem.
"Okay, before you men get us into another pointless display of blowing things up," Rouge said. "Maybe we can try a different course. Saying talking. For example: Hi, the mobian over there is Knuckles, of the Echnida clan, appointed Guardian of the Master Emerald, I'm his newly and somewhat unwillingly appointed partner, Rouge of the Chiroptera clan. And you are?"
"Uh...I'm Ash Ketchum, Pokemon Trainer," Ash said.
"I'm Misty," the girl said, somewhat confused. "And the...what are you looking at?!"
Eyes were turned to Brock, as he was smacked in the back of the head by Misty, for a moment and then back to Rouge and her torn outfit. The bat mobian crossed her arms over her chest and appeared to pout.
"Anybody got an extra shirt," she muttered irritably.
