"Matte," the Crane called reluctantly.
"Good match," Ruri said with an infuriating, but somehow infectious smirk. "But I'm the best." She glanced toward a corner of the training hall in an attempt to catch the eye of a particular Crane. She did manage to catch at least some attention from the meditating samurai.
"Pride is a luxury a samurai cannot afford," Korin said without raising his eyes to face her. "There is no need to boast."
"It's not boasting if its true," Ruri retorted. "Or perhaps you'd care to give me a match?"
Korin did not comment, merely remained meditating, ignoring her.
The silence as she waited for answer stretched on, until she frowned and stomped her feet before leaving the dojo, tossing her obsidian hair in a display of fiery temper.
