Tatewaki Kuno sat in the courtyard of his home, practicing his stance and swings in the Kendo style. One that knew Kuno could see that he seemed to be more muscular than usual, and that his stance and movements were more rigid than usual. One could somehow sense that something was weighing down Kuno's mind. (Or what little he had of one.)
Kuno honestly felt failure for the first time. He would have done anything for his fair Akane Tendo and Pigta... Ranko Saotome. He had written them poetry, sent them gifts, and given them many chances to win the right to date with him. He could tell they were softening up to him. After all, no fair maiden could resist the Kuno charm.
However, he had also vowed to protect the sweet lily Akane Tendo, and the fierce tigress Ranko Saotome... He didn't protect Ranko when she needed him the most. He had found out through Nabiki that Ranko had been challenged and viciously attacked. Kuno himself had paid for Ranko's hospital bills, getting her the BEST of care.
Sure, Ranko had lived, and it was a joyous occassion... But Ranko was now crippled. The doctors couldn't explain what as wrong, but the muscles in Ranko's legs were diminished, and they couldn't support her frame. It seemed like the fierce tigress would now be confined to a wheelchair for life.
Tatewaki started to put more effort into his kata. He had failed his loved one in the long run, but he would take vengeance for her. Besides paying for Ranko's medical bills, he was also, and still was paying for that gaijin whore's! Oh, he wanted her alive. He wanted to put her through hell. He wanted her to live so he could challenge her to combat and cripple her! After all, death would be too kind for the trash that ruined the beautiful body of Ranko Saotome!
And so, Tatewaki Kuno continued to train. He had been training hard and seriously for the past two months, becoming more powerful. Heck, Kuno had even started learning to gather his aura and chi into a more physical manifestation, as he could surround himself in a red aura, and even slash out red waves of chi.
And the final change in Kuno... He didn't wear his usual blue and black kendo hakama. He now wore a full white outfit, in symbolization of strength. He was becoming quite the force to be reckoned with.
Lord help Shampoo when she awakens...

Of course, Kuno wasn't the only male in the Nerima district that was planning to take vengeance for her. The Eternal Lost Boy had also had a much better history with the female Ranko... And that lead to a much friendlier relationship between the lost boy and the weretigress.
Ryoga was not much different than he was before reality was changed. He was STILL he lost boy. However there were three noticable changes. He could talk to Ranko on civil terms whenever they were around each other. And they gave each other a GREAT spar.
The second change was that Ryoga was dating Akane thanks to Ranko's help. Ranko was great friends with Akane, and Ranko had tried to set the two up for a date. That had gone rather well, and Ryoga was on good terms with the youngest Tendo daughter... Now if only he could find her more often...
The third, and greatest change to this reality was Ryoga's curse. He didn't have it. Ranko was in a rush to claw her stupid panda father to death, but she had time to notice Ryoga. She had knocked him off the cliff, and Ryoga would have fallen off the side, however, Ranko discovered a technique that most tigers didn't have. A prehensile tail. She had managed to grab Ryoga's ankle with her tail and keep him from falling into the valley.
From then on, Ranko and Ryoga would have been inseperable... if it weren't for the fact Ryoga would get lost constantly. They two remained good friends and sparring partners, and Ryoga would sometimes help Ranko kick the fat-panda's ass.
And when Ryoga had learned of Ranko's condition from Akane. Ryoga was angered beyond all belief. For the first time, Ryoga felt anger on levels comparable to the original universe. His friedn had been crippled. He lost a great sparring partner. And he just knew Ranko's life would be hell from now on.
"SHAMPOO, THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!" Ryoga would be known to scream now and again.
Yep... When Shampoo would awaken, she'd have two new threats to deal with... And they more than likely wouldn't let her get a kiss in, after all, they heard from Ranko WHY Shampoo hunted her. They would think her advances to be the kiss of death. And they'd have no problem trying to break the woman that had hurt their friend so much.
