Which was how Rei Hakubi (Mad Scientist Rei) and Rei Hino (shrine priestess Rei) ended up at Misato's apartment with Ritsuko, researching how to, perhaps, duplicate the statue's effects in another statue, or a wand, or prayer papers, or a gun...or something...
Rei Bunny (Playboy Bunny Rei) was just looking for a place to crash. Fortunately for them, she was there.
"Hey, like that sounds like Misato, doesn't it?" she called out provoking a flurry of motion starting with an invisibility spell from Ritsuko.
"We really don't know what's going..."
"Surprise!" shouted a cheerful Rei, three guesses which one, as Misato and Asuka walked in.
Distracted by the invisible shouter, they were defenseless against the scratching statue in the hands of a now visible Maya.
