McLane looked at Helga.

“Patch me through to Admiral Wamsler.”

Helga just nodded and went to work.

Meanwhile on the wooden ship, two wooden logs hovered a few centimeters above the ground. Each had a large Kanji symbol on the front. Before them hovered a 2D screen, showing the ‘Orion’.

“Maybe we should go and tell the Princess that there may be some problems.”

“You do it, Azaka. I had to wake her.”

Azaka grumbled as he hovered away to look for the princess.

A few minute later he came back, a violet haired girl behind him. She stopped before the 2D screen and looked at the other log.

“What is it, Kamidake?”

Kamidake seemed to breathe in for a short amount of time.

“As you know, Princess, we were able to follow Her Warp-trail to this system.”

He looked over to Azaka.

“And if someone hadn’t forgotten to fill the Antimatter tanks we would have been here 700 years earlier.”

Both the Princess and Azaka sweatdropped.

“Anyway, we encountered that ship.”

The three looked at the screen.

“What do you know about it?” asked the Princess.

“Absolutely nothing. Their energy source is unknown and most of the scans aren’t going beneath the hull.”

“Hail them.”

-----------------------

Somewhere else in the galaxy, a being watched the scene in front of her. It was a great circular Arena, about fifty meters in diameter and surrounded by rows of seats. In one direction it had a large platform for VIPs. The Arena was filled to the last place. Everyone in the row seats looked very human. All had a light brown skin color, black hair and violet eyes. The people on the platform on the other hand looked like humans with wings. Their skin was of a lighter brown color, but the hair, eyes and their wings seemed to burn.

Five people stood in the center of the Arena. Four of them had their hand tied on their backs and the fifth stood behind them, a whip in his hands.

One of the bird-people stood up. It was a woman in a dress that could have been air. She went to the front of the platform and glared at the four people.

“You have been found guilty for the loss of one of our freighters to the rebels. I sentence you to death, by the Whip of Nodro.”

She sat back into her seat. The man with the whip let it roll out and stroked it four times in a short amount of time. Nothing seemed to happen as he rolled the whip back up and turned around, but after a few seconds four thin red lines appeared on the four executed, who had blinked once or twice after the whip strikes. All four fell apart into the dust of the area, cut five pieces by monofilar threats on the end of the whip.

The being smiled at that scene. She really liked her Phoenix and their helpers, the Nodro. With them and Kagato she would strike against Jurai and GPHQ at the same time and start the new ‘Age of War’. Only the strong would survive and praise her, like the Phoenix and Nodro already did.
