Dismissing it as unimportant, the young college student resumed walking in the other direction, his mind turning to a far more important young woman in his life...
"Mamoru-san!"
Oh, crap! I didn't mean her Looking over, Mamoru gave a somewhat sickly smile as an attractive girl in her mid-teens, with long black hair and dressed in a grey school uniform with an incredibly short skirt, hurried across the street to join him, smiling brightly. "Hey, Rei..."
"I'm glad I caught you, Mamoru-san," Rei grinned up at him, her face slightly flushed. "I was hoping we could go on a date."
Mamoru nodded his head in mute resignation. Really, it was easier to just go along with her than deal with the inevitable fallout if he broke the poor girl's innocent heart. Besides, it wasn't that he disliked Rei by any stretch, she just... wasn't his Princess. The beautiful girl who had been haunting his dreams of late, begging him to find the Silver Crystal for her...
Sailor Moon would be pretty good, too, in a pinch... he conceded the fact that said Princess wasn't the only girl in his mind. That sailor uniform of hers didn't exactly hide much, and even if she was a bit clumsy, the girl had an honest and pure heart that appealed to him... But mostly it was the tight bodysuit and tiny skirt.
His ruminations were interrupted, however, by a feminine cry of "Mamoru, Mamoru!"
Frowning (although not as deeply as Rei), he turned around, greeted by the sight of a slightly wild-eyed woman with long, dark-green hair, styled with a bun at the top of her head. She was dressed in a lavender business ensemble that would have looked quite professional if not for the fact that it was rumpled, and the woman herself looked obviously out of sorts.
"What do you want with Mamoru-san?" Rei asked coldly, eyeing the newcomer while scooting possessively closer to Mamoru.
The woman ignored the young shrine maiden completely, focusing entirely on her companion. "Mamoru, thank God I've found you!"
"Uh... you know me?" Mamoru asked, a little unsettled by the nearly fevered way she was eyeing him. This woman was even scarier than Rei!
Nodding breathlessly, the green-haired woman went on, "We have to go back, Mamoru!"
"Back?" Mamoru asked, confusion evident.
Still nodding in her own rather unhinged way, "Yes, back! Back to the future!"
