Time is never set in one path. Even when someone tries to force the flow of time into one special way, it will find a way to not completely flow down this path. Another thing about time is a fact that one of mankind’s brilliants minds found out. Time is relative. Time flows in dependence to space. If there is something like a Guardian of Time, is there also a Guardian of Space? Maybe.
Let us take a look into the future. A dark future compared to our time. An alien force-field shields away most of the suns rays and makes our blue planet a ball of ice, cold enough that even the atmosphere condensed and formed a dozen miles thick layer of hard ice. Only one place of earth doesn’t look like the rest of the planet. This oasis of life is located where the old Tokyo had been once. A beautiful city of crystal stands there. People follow their daily lives, knowing who they have to owe their peaceful life. Once she was known as Sailor Moon, the reincarnated princess of the old mystical Moon Kingdom, now she is Queen Serenity of Crystal Tokyo.
One may ask, if those happy people are the only humans left on earth. Well, they think they are. But as always there is more than meets the eye. As we know that Crystal Tokyo exists and with it Queen Serenity and her Sailor Senshi, we know there is a Sailor Pluto the Guardian of Time. And there is a Guardian of Space. Not a mystical being of a magical girl of something like that, but something completely different.
Even if it may look like something magical or mystical it isn’t. As Clarke said once: ‘Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.’ A very old civilization created it in a distant past, a past when dinosaurs still roamed on Earth. No one knows why they created the Guardian, but why question his existence?
Deep under the layer of ice that covered Earth the Guardian had found a new place to stay, before the ancient humans founded the mystical Moon Kingdom. When his sensors sensed the build up of the force-field, he had acted. He simply used his power to phase an area of a hundred miles radius away from the rest of reality, saving it. This area of Europe had all it needed to survive on its own and with it more than five million people. As time moved on, the Guardian announced his existence and helped the people to develop further. Slowly they were grew to their own civilization with a Clarkeian technology level, all with the help of the Guardian. Now it was known for its citizens as Utopia, even if it isn't that utopic.
Now there are two civilizations left on earth, each not knowing of the other. One abandoned technology and the other embraced it. What will happen when they meet?
