Ping Ping Ping "Captain Spaulding, Captain Spaulding. Please report to the Commander's office." Ping ping ping
"I don't know a Captain Spaulding," said Major Problemo.
"Oh I remember him, ran into him in Africa once, think he works for NERV California branch," said Major Booti.
"Ohhhhhhh," said Major Problemo. "Uhm. Did you and he, err...?"
"Major!" said Major Booti. "What kind of girl do you think I am?"
"Uhm," said Major Problemo, trying to find a tactful way of saying it.
Slap!
Major Problemo held his hurt face and watched Major Booti stalk off. "...but I didn't say anything."
Ping Ping Ping "Would Professor Fate and Mister Wesley please move your vehicles. You are blocking a fire lane." Ping Ping Ping
"Oh shut up," Major Problemo told the intercom.
"There's a new problem," said Fuyutsuki.
"My cup runneth over," observed Gendo Ikari.
Fuyutsuki held out a palmcorder. "This is the message we received when we tried to turn Caspar off for rebooting."
Just knowing he was going to hate this, Gendo scowled as he switched on the player.
"It's Caspar, the friendly ghost,
Friendliest ghost you know!"
Gendo quickly shut the device off. "I don't think I need to hear any more."
"Good, it goes on for fifteen minutes like that," said Fuyutsuki.
"What about Melchior and Balthazar?" Gendo asked.
"Some good news," said Fuyutsuki. "They've apparently hacked into some MAGI style supercomputers that SEELE secretly had emplaced and reprogrammed them so that they are running some online fantasy game called 'The World'."
Gendo actually smiled at the thought that someone else was having as rotten a time as he was. Particularly when it was the old men of SEELE. "That might compromise their security enough for us to find out what happened to Doctor Akagi and the others."
"Already working that angle," said Fuyutsuki.
Ping Ping Ping"Attention Tokyo-3 Mega Bulk Mart shoppers. We're having a Blue Pattern sale on Gendo Ikari bobbleheads in our NERV Souveneir section. Would Baron Von Bratwurst please move your zeppelin, you're blocking traffic. Lucy Ricardo, your party is looking for you at the information desk."
Several people walking down through the endless corridors of NERV Central wondered exactly what the heck was going on with the intercom lately.
Makoto frowned when he discovered the elevators were all playing "It's the End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)."
"I just wish I knew what was going on," said Makoto to absolutely no one.
Somewhere, a printer started having an epileptic fit as Keele Lorenz' personal journal was being sent to it.
Lillith twitched as the mask fell off, revealing a fairly pretty female face that hadn't been there before. The mask bounced off full breasts and eventually splashed into the pool of LCL near the displaced Lance of Longinus.
The still forming cat tail twitched in response.
The thrashing in the bushes had gradually altered and stilled.
In a classroom not all that distant, Kensuke Aida watched his fellow classmates begin to drift off as the instructor droned on about Second Impact.
The upcoming class field trip would be discussed at the end of class.
So why did he have a feeling as if he was missing out on something really interesting?
Israfel (7th Angel) had been defeated.
And so in a volcano, a form was discovered and that discovery relayed to NERV HQ.
Initial naming was given as Sandalphon, the 8th Angel.
