If it weren't for the chance to have an agent for the UN there, he wouldn't haven't even been there, and that was something that he alternately cursed and celebrated.
But at least he had the opportunity.., er, managed to check out each of those bottles to make certain that they were okay.
It was after that inspection that he looked for a nice empty room to take a nap. He had searched high and low for an unoccupied office or something that he could sit and relax in for a moment, but with so many choices due to the current problems, he was having problems picking one. However, gazing into one of the rooms during his search, he noted a pile of papers laying next to a printer.
Intruiged, he made his way over, thinking that it was perhaps some sort of report that one of the workers had forgotten to give in. That wasn't too bad, and if it was secret enough, he could gather some information from it. So, he picked it up, shuffled the papers a bit to find the first page... and stared as he looked at the title.
Written in bold ink right there on the cover sheet was "One Man's Screwing Over Of Humanity" by Keel Lorenz.
Occasionally, when he wasn't feeling sorry for himself, worthless, or both, Shinji would have the more normal sort of dreams for his age group. He would imagine what it would be like to be more atheltic and attractive. Those thoughts would turn to how the guys would accept him, and the girls would be attracted to him. They would all take him in as not only one of them, but one of the more popular members.
Which would be the point at which it would turn into some sort of sick joke and he would be back to being depressed.
However, at this point, his dream hadn't gone that way, and had even been better than they had had been before. Earlier imaginings had him get the attentions of Asuka and/or Rei, but never had he gotten as far as sex. As it had, he was enjoying it, as he had never before, because there was no way that it could be real.
So he was trying some flexing before the mirror, feeling rather silly about doing so, and enjoying that feeling as well. After all, he knew that a wet dream this detailed would only crash even further than before.

And completing the circle around him happned to be a Rei in a shrine priestess' robes.
"Don't worry Shinji-kun," said Rei Tsukino, "We'll take good care of you."
Theif Rei smiled and stroked down his arm until she reached his hand, which she placed on her bosom. "Of course, you will have to... take care of us as well."
Rei Hino nodded and reached down to grasp his hardening manhood. "And it seems that you are up to the task."
"So why don't we get more... comfortable," Rei Prince told him, and pulled him over to the bed. She pushed him onto the mattress, holding him down by the shoulders as she nuzzled and licked his neck.

Seeing her fellow's... situation, the theif rose long enough to disrobe the shrine priestess, and pull her to the bed.
