Unfortunately, it was on something being pulled by someone who looked like he had crawled out of some swamp and put on the first rags that he could find. One yellowed eye was looking like it was going to pop out of the socket while the other was sunken in and hollow. He looked to have more teeth missing than present, and probably hadn't bathed since he'd first taken breath. And his voice was not something to be enjoyed, what with the raspy quality it had.
"Bring out yer dead!" the cart puller called out, "Bring out yer dead!"
Hesistantly, Ranma made his way over to the shuffling figure. "Umm... 'Cuse me..."
"Yeah? Ya got some dead?"
"I do," he replied, hefting the head.
"That'll be ninepence."
"I'm not dead!" protested Nabiki.
"What?"
"Nothing. Listen, it's about a dead body on your cart."
"I'm not dead!" she insisted.
"'Ere, she says she's not dead," commented the cart puller.
"Yes, she is," the pigtailed boy answered.
She let off a frustrated growl. "I'm not!"
"Trust me, she is."
"I'll get better!"
"You're stone dead, and that's that!"
The cart puller tsked. "Well, I can't take her like that. It's against regulations."
"I don't want to go on the cart!" Nabiki declared.
"Oh, don't be such a baby," Ranma replied with a roll of his eyes I ain't gonna put ya on the damned cart."
"See? I'm not dead! I feel fine!"
"You're dead, and that's it," he told her, and turned to the puller, "Can ya stay for just a little longer?"
"Nope, I gotta do me rounds," the other guy responded.
"Damn. Listen, can I ask ya about something 'bout the bodies?"
"I think I'll go for a walk!" put in Nabiki.
"You're not foolin' anyone," he told her, and returned to the conversation. "Can you do me a favor?"
"I feel happy! I feel happy!"
The puller looked around furtively and then whacked Nabiki's head with a club.
"OW! That hurts!"
"Gee, thanks..," Ranma drawled sarcastically.
Putting his weapon away, the cart puller shrugged. "Not at all."
"That wasn't exactly what I meant though."
"What did you?"
"Ya see, one of them bodies belongs ta someone I know, and I got ta get it back."
"So?"
"'So'... could ya give it to me?"
"Wot do I look like? I collect 'em. I don't just give 'em away."
"It'd really be good for me."
"After doin' all that work ta go over an' get 'em? An' pullin' them?"
Sighing, the pigtailed boy nodded and rifled through his pockets. "I got some yen here. It ain't much, but I figure a couple'll do ya."
Looking dubiously at the money in his hand, the puller frowned. "'Ow much is this?"
"Dunno, maybe... three times what ya were chargin' ta take them."
"You ain't just pullin' me leg?"
"Nah, I don't like it when it's done ta me, and I ain't about ta do something like that to ya."
"You be a really good chap then. Just be pointin' out which one it is, and I'll be pullin' it out for you."
"No need," Ranma told him, before taking hold of the protruding leg and pulling it. Nabiki's body slid right out and landed chest first onto the floor.
"Right good that 's."
"Thanks, and sorry 'bout botherin' ya."
"No problem, kind sir," the puller told him and left, pulling his cart behind him.
"Great Saotome," grumbled Nabiki's head, "Now that you have my body, would you mind doing one certain thing for me?"
"What's that?" he asked.
"Mind fixing the way it is?"
Looking down, Ranma saw that her skirt had fallen up above her waist with her legs spread due to his hold on her ankle. "URK!"
"Unless you do have a naughty head in that brain of yours."
Quickly, he let go of the shapely limb, adjusted the skirt, and had the whole body over his shoulder, with a hand on her bottom to keep it in place.
"You really like feeling me up, don't you?"
Growling in frustration, he shifted his hold, and left with Nabiki's head and body held on either side of him while he:
