The thing was that the situation inside the room was different. Oh the teacher was still droning on about Second Impact and such, but that was something easily tuned out. What wasn't were the appreciating glances that the girls of the class were giving him. Some of the females that would have never given him the time of day before were looking at him now. Some of them even had expressions that almost had him believing that they were interested in him.
And the wierdest part was that he liked it. There was only a tiny bit of second guessing, but he could actually daydream about having chances with them.
Plus, for some reason, he could only worry about the ramifications of all of it. There was no fretting, nor was there any fear about it. He just was concerned that it was a trick, the boyfriends of those that had them would get mad, or that it wouldn't last any actually attempts to try an approach.
But he put it down to the after-effects of the Angel attack, which he assumed meant that it would wear off. Or at the very least be gotten used to and everything would get back to normal. It would be nice to be able to try being one of those guys who could get any girl they wanted, but that wasn't for him, and he didn't think that he could manage it anyway.
So he sat there and continued to try not to fall asleep from the lecture, while:
