"YAY, REI!" the first yelled.
"You're the GREATEST, REI!!!" the second agreed. They then proceeded to chant "Rei" as the spiky haired gadgeteer cackled away.
"Ahem," Ritsuko coughed. "I believe I helped. After all, if I hadn't enchanted your device to access that gateway we found..."
"Ahem, yes, right," Rei Hakubi said, deflating.
"Now we have to test it," Ritsuko said, picking up what appeared to be a cat-shaped PDA.
"OOO, pretty," an apparently free Rei Bunny intoned from behind them. Both Ritsuko and Rei Hakubi glanced to the girl.
"We put in a willingness program, didn't we," Rei Hakubi said in a deadpan voice.
"Her brute strength would probably turn out to be useful later anyway," Ritsuko said.
"What's it do?" Rei Bunny asked. The two intellectual type cat-girls glanced to each other.
"Might as well," Ritsuko said, shrugging. She turned back to Rei Bunny. "This is a JOBS machine. It allows us to access the gateway that is funnelled through the statue that turned all of us into cat-girls."
Rei Bunny nodded.
"Through this, like with the statue," Rei Hakubi said. "We can turn other women into cat-girls...and at a bit more of a range as well."
Rei Bunny raised her hand eagerly. The two other cat-girls rolled their eyes and sighed resignedly.
"Yes?" Ritsuko asked. When Rei Bunny didn't answer right away from her seat, she continued. "Miss Bunny, you have a question?"
"But all I have to do is sleep with a girl to make her a cat-girl," Rei Bunny noted. The other two blinked for a moment. "And that sounds like a lot more fun."
"That is actually a pertinent question, Miss Bunny," Rei Hakubi said. "But observe."
She typed in some keys on the cat PDA and a stat read-out for Rei Maehara appeared in the air before them, complete with a rather cute hologram of the school-catgirl.

"This is Rei Maehara," Ritsuko said.
"Ooo, she's cute," Rei Bunny said, forgetting that she'd already met this person.
"Yes, well," Ritsuko said. "Cuteness is one of her highest traits. Anyway, Rei Maehara here is fourth level in the schoolgirl class. She has an insane amount of luck, tenacity and such special abilities as Kind Soul, which can help turn people aside from the path of darkness."
"And this," Rei Hakubi pulled another stat sheet up.

"Is the newly converted Hae-Jung Paek," Rei Hakubi finished. "She's a cheerleader. Yes, Miss Bunny?"
"What level is she?" Rei Bunny asked.
"Ahh, that's the problem," Ritsuko said. "As you can see, when she became a cat-girl she only received a species change, she did not acquire any new skills. So she's a cheerleader, but she's not of the cheerleader class. She is, as it stands, a bystander. Fairly good non-class stats, though."
"She can still convert willing men and women to Bast's service," Rei Hakubi said. "And she has the edge of being a cat-girl, but she currently lacks a hero class, and so, in the coming war she is fairly helpless."
Rei Bunny's hand went up again.
"Yes, Miss Bunny," Rei Hakubi asked irritably.
"What do you mean convert willing men and women," Rei asked. "I thought all I had to do was fuck someone blind and pop instant follower!"
"Errr, Rei Hakubi," Ritsuko said suddenly. "Can you handle the rest of this, I suddenly remember something I need to get off with...errr, check on with Shinji."
"If I have to suffer through the explanation you do," Rei Hakubi said. Then she added cheerfully. "Then we can both go get off. Besides, you're better to answer this than me."
"Right," Ritsuko sighed. "You probably do not remember this, but there is a flash in between time, just before the transformation begins, when you are given knowledge of what we have so far learned and given the option to turn away from Bast...so far no one has chosen red goo over cat-girl. But if they did, then you couldn't turn them into a cat-girl no matter how good you were in bed."
Rei Bunny seemed doubtful.
"Right. In any case," Rei Hakubi said. "It is time to test this JOBS machine, and Miss Paek here seems to be a prime candidate. Now we just have to..."
A new box popped up.
This was quickly followed by a succession of level ups including all the Reis of the group.
"Oh this is excellent," Rei Hakubi said, after grasping her breath. Meanwhile, in the background, Rei Bunny giggled. "Now we don't have to go out to Miss Paek. We can now use the JOBS on any already converted cat-girl anywhere."
"I notice it hasn't announced that the JOBS system is complete," Ritsuko noticed. "And we still have to get close to actually convert people, you know."
"Yes, well," Rei Hakubi said. "We haven't tested it yet. So we haven't finished that quest."
"And I suppose," Ritsuko said. "We should start the test by giving our cheerleader here a chance for survival."
"Let's see...random, subconcious, user-choice..." Rei Hakubi said. "Subconcious!" And she pushed a button.
