With the old system, they had played several games, fairly entertained by the now-outdated graphics, but it was only in rembrance of times gone by for her parents. For her, it started as a seeing what the games her mother and father had played, and turned into a bit of a hobby. She had discovered one set of games that had good storylines, pretty interesting game controls, and were kind of fun. Since her father didn't mind, she'd taken the game system and had gotten into playing the series as a hobby.
Over time, she had gotten into one particular type of characters, and had found herself imagining what it would be like to be like them. She knew what it felt like to jump almost like they did, but she had never considered it as a fighting style. It had been rather fun to imagine what it would be like to do what they did to all the jerks, thugs and such that were around.
But with the sudden change, her fantasy was becoming a reality, and she was discovering a new set of skills that she'd just aquired.
Knee high boots appeared on her feet. A short skirt, made of some shimmery, yet firm, material now went to midthigh. Light body armor with shoulder pads that was cut to nicely display her cleavage appeared on her torso. Gloves appeared on her hands while above her brow was a circlet that looked almost like a dragon's eyes and muzzle. And in one gloved hand was an intricately engraved spear with a shining metal tip.
All of which, when taken in by Hae-Jung, told her that she was now a Lancer. She giggled for a little bit with the realization and twirled her new weapon for a bit. Then she went into a little haze as she went over her new skills while:
