He wasn't normally this cautious but he had three examples of how bad things could get from not following the directions.

Akane wagged her tail, she was going home soon!

Ukyo hoped there were plenty of carrots.

Shampoo wondered if she could hit Mousse with something properly nasty.

The paperwork itself seemed fairly normal. Except that if he abused them, failed to keep them in line, failed to take proper care of them, or returned them - they would become property of Furries 4 U and available for adoption elsewhere.

They each came with a little package that had the store logo. "Them the accessories?"

"Yes, each of them has special needs and the products there are specially formulated. There are also times when going about in their natural fur is inappropriate, and so special clothing is provided," the clerk smiled as he watched Ranma sign the forms.

What Ranma didn't notice immediately was:

• there were more than three forms. Who else ended up being adopted?
• that signing the forms made the changes retroactive. Now nobody sees anything special with Ranma having his pets. Except Ranma.
• there were a LOT more than three forms and they were retroactive. Alas poor Ranma
• that Mousse was getting a makeover in the back. Among other rivals/protaganists.
• that as Akane was his dog, his new fiancee would end up being:
• something else or all of the above
