As the clerk watched Ranma sign the papers for his new pets, he considered his other problems. Namely, the Works-in-progress in the back.
Really, as the sign above the desk said (okay, the small sign, but it is there!) any attempts to steal (either the pets or money) or to hurt the clerk would result in the perpetrator becoming more merchandise. Very simple. But now what was he supposed to do with the bunch in the back?
And boy, was there a lot of them. The clerk mentally went over each one and decided how best to prepare them for sale.
The two girls were going to be rather difficult. But Kodachi, in her haste, had failed to put down a name for the owner, so she would have to be sold. Unfortunately, Snake-Girls were definitely an acquired taste, and the Clerk had a feeling he'd have to deal with the sullen naga for a long time.
Akari was more of a tragic case. She proved that a pig-girl could be very cute. However, as the person she put down for her owner was also going under a transformation now, she too would have to be sold. Well, at least with her pleasant demeanor she should find an owner quickly.
The other four, each being an involuntary transformation (having tried to attack him), the Clerk had a few more options available to him. But what to do?
The ninja, Konatsu, made a good fox boy. and Ryoga was an excellent tiger boy. Mousse was still a work-in-progress, but the dove package would make him look like an angel. All of them were quite iffy... the could be sold as is, but they might sell faster if he changed them into girls. Hmmm... probably best to leave those three for now, and display them with a sign that their gender could be adjusted.
But that Tatewaki kid... now there's a task. The bloody boy just wouldn't shut up! In the end the clerk turned him into a merman just so he could throw him in a tank and not have to listen to him anymore. The problem is that mermen didn't sell very well at all. But mermaids were always a hot seller. So the clerk decided to swap that one's gender before displaying him... er, her.
Nonetheless, it looked like moving to Tokyo was a good idea...
