Statue of Miao Nyan Mew : Starting Off [Episode 66553]

Back when Tokyo-3 had been built, there had been calls for all sorts of buildings, from office towers, to stores to apartments. Some had been basically utilitarian, while others had a bit of asthetic thought going into them. And quite of few of them had been built based on structures from the old Tokyo.

There had been one built by a man who had remembered a place that he had lived in during his youth and remembered fondly. It was where he had met and fallen in love with the woman who became his wife. Some of their closest friends had lived there with them, and many good times had by all.

So, as he became successful, he decided that he might try building a replica of the place where they had met. It would be larger and have all the conviences that were available. But it would have the same style and feel as the place where they'd spent the joyous times of their youth.

The completion was celebrated by a reunion of all the old friends, and it was opened to the public. His project had paid off as people moved to Tokyo-3, and would eventually need a place to relax. Makoto looked at the official and smiled. "Think of it this way. I'm transferring you to someplace where you can do some good. If you accomplish this task, I'll be duly impressed. And I won't make you write your report in heiroglyphics."

"MLPHPH!" went the offical through his gag.

"Sorry, but all complaints need to be submitted on their proper forms, but you simply don't have the time," Makoto told him, and grinned as the lid was put on the crate marked 'Landmine Detection Equipment'.
