Or 'could have used' at the moment, as Ranma had been in the middle of yet another example of the rule that none of his plans would go as planned. What he had thought to do was to cure himself when he had found the odd little merchant who sold bottles of Jusenkyo curses. The problem was that the guy hadn't had any boy-curse water. However, he did have many, including girl-curse water, which Ranma had at first dismissed. After all, he already turned into a girl, didn't he?
But then he remembered Shampoo, and since he did feel a little guilty about the fact that she had been cursed. Besides, he would prefer if the cat-curse went away. Getting the water had taken a while, especially as the guy had misunderstood about it all, and had sold him the wrong bottle. Which had to be taken in addition to the one that he wanted, as there was a 'no return' policy.
So, he'd been a bit disgruntled when he'd gone to go to the Nekohaten. He'd hoped for a simple walk and maybe a free meal out of the giving, but of course, he'd not been able to get clean away.
Akane had seen him and demanded to know what he was doing. When he'd told her, she got angry that he was buying a gift for 'his hussy'. Then had come Kuno, angry that he'd gotten Akane angry. Kodachi had been behind him, and it had been near the resturant anyway, so of course Shampoo and Mousse had come into the picture. He still didn't know where Ukyou and Ryouga had come into it, but he hadn't wanted to stick around to find out.
But as he leapt onto a fence to get away, it had crumpled underneath him. That had sent him tumbling to the ground, and the bottles flying into the wall above him. Which of course sent the water splashing onto him by mistake.
Pulling herself to her feet, Ranma took a moment to steady herself. Something about her body felt off, like it was different somehow. She'd never really liked her female form, but she had learned to use it and knew how it should react. At the moment, it wasn't and she couldn't tell why until she saw her hands.
They looked generally the same, but were a little more compact and the nails seemed to be a sharper. Grabbing at her head showed that her ears weren't where they were supposed to be and when she felt something on the crown of her head move, she took hold of them. It was obvious what they were, and that they were definately real. On the growing suspicion that she had, she reached down to her bottom and discovered a tail swaying there.
All of which pointed her to the obvious conclusion; her bottle of girl-cursed water had mixed with the cat-cursed water to make her a mix of both.
Realising that she was now a catgirl, Ranma:
