Thinking about what Kagome had just told her, Rin walked behind Sesshoumaru. They had left her lord's half brother and continued their travels hours earlier, but Rin was silent, lost in thought. That was, until she reached a conclusion.
'If what Kagome said is true...If all I have to do is ask a man for a baby...Maybe I could get a little Sesshoumaru-baby!'
Rin ran to catch up with the youkai lord as she had lagged behind. Pausing a moment to think of how to ask her question, Rin decided to simply go with whatever came out of her mouth.
"Lord Sesshoumaru?"
He simply looked down at the girl, silent.
"I thought about what Kagome told me about babies..."
Sesshoumaru felt a sense of dread begin to build in his stomach.
"I really would like to have a little Sesshoumaru...Could I have a baby from you?"
Sesshoumaru froze.
'Does this ningen know what she is asking?'
"Rin...it would seem that those humans did a poor job of explaining it to you...You are not old enough to be asking this Sesshoumaru for a child."
"Why? I would feed it and take care of it. I wouldn't forget it somewhere either, I promise!"
"Ah...Rin. A woman must be older so that she is fully developed physically. She needs hips to hold a baby against and breasts to feed them with." Sesshoumaru figured if he fully explained their purpose to begin with, Rin wouldn't ask any...awkward questions.
"Breasts? Are those the things on their chests?"
"...yes..."
"Am I old enough now?"
"..."
"Am I?"
"No."
"When will I be?"
"Perhaps in ten years."
Rin practically fell to the ground in surprise.
"Do I really have to wait that long? I would really like to have a baby sooner, Lord Sesshoumaru." Rin pouted.
"No sooner than ten years, Rin. Now, cease your foolish questions."
Rin continued to pout, but obeyed. 'Well, I suppose if I really want a baby, I can wait ten years. But I want my baby to be just like Lord Sesshoumaru! Maybe Lord Sesshoumaru would even marry this Rin!'
Rin sighed dreamily and began to walk to keep up with her Sesshoumaru.
