The Wrath of Wolves: The Stranger Wolf [Episode 67956]

by Thrythlind

It was a werewolf, a female werewolf, that stood before them, sleek and enraged as she rushed forward to attack, teeth savagely bared.

"Britanny! Look out!" Gina yelled as she ran to check on her youngest sister.

Britanny was already moving to meet the attacker, her own face set in a determined expression. She slid easily into stance and was soon between the coming werewolf and her sisters.

"I don't know who you are," Brit said. "But no one hurts MY baby sister and gets away with it!"

The werewolf paused and growled something unintelligible and almost dropping to all fours before lashing out and swinging at Britanny. Britanny dodged easily, noting the attacker's almost laughable skills, and turned the werewolves lunge into power drive into the concrete.

"Take that!" Britanny growled ferally.

There was a familiar scent about the girl, and from the size she couldn't have been more than eighteen, and it was, for some reason making Britanny even more angry. She paused a little, trying to place it, as the girl dizzily stood up and shook herself out.

"Go home kid," Britanny said. "I think I hear your Mommy calling."

What she received in return was another primal lunge. Britanny easily slid back and brought her foot upward into the girl's face. She felt the jaw crack, something Brit would probably not be able to accomplish as easily against a full-grown werewolf. The werewolf fell backward and almost Britanny allowed herself some pity for her.

This girl was obviously insane, she was lunging about like some sort of beast. There was no training at all, and suddenly Britanny had a very clear view of what her mother had meant by reading an opponent's moves.

"Hopefully now you'll give this up," Britanny said in hopes that the injuries would make the girl stop.

She was not overly surprised, however, when the bestial woman rolled about to her four limbs again and gave an approximation of a growl through her broken jaw. The look in the girl's eyes was clear. Reason was not happening here.

Britanny was readying for another charge when she suddenly realized where she knew the smell that hung about the girl from.

"Brendan," she whispered, her guard dropping for instant.

The wrong instant.

Nearly three hundred pounds of canine killing frenzy launched forward and quickly had the larger shapechanger pinned, sharp fangs descending for her throat.

And then those teeth smashed into some invisible force and began to float up off of Britanny.

Britanny sat up to see the girl flailing about randomly in an almost invisible globe.

"Jinkies, it worked," Gina said, attracting Britanny's attention.

Gina was standing there with her force field gun pointed at the berserk werewolf as Brianna rested on the ground behind her. The youngest Digger's sister had been badly cut by her landing, but Brit was relieved to see that the damage was already healing.

"What as this about?" Brianna asked, catching her breath.

As she spoke a paper airplane came to a conspicuous landing before them. Gina cautiously walked over to it and picked it up. Immediately her eyes turned grim as she looked to the still enraged werewolf trapped in the bubbly.

"You ought to read this, Brit," Gina said, handing her the paper.

Brit took the note, fearing what it said and dreading who it was from.

"I hope you like my pet," the note said. "I've collected quite a few, and given the difficulty you had with this one. Well...PS: Tell your human sister that I now have an open spot among my retainers. PPS: Tell my daughter that she's obsolete several times over, as the girl you have will prove. And have a nice day."
