The Wrath of Wolves: Hounding the Trail [Episode 67994]

by Thrythlind

Inu-Yasha cursed the makers of the damnable...thing hidden in the middle of those plants. What sort of sadistic creep plants traps about what is obviously a public park. He harumphed as he decided to step out into the open since it was obvious the human knew he was there. He left behind a mangled sprinkler nozzle as he walked.

"Excuse me," he snapped angrily. "If you don't mind moving out of the way so I can get a scent?"

"A scent?" Ranma repeated, looking to the triangular ears atop the other boy's head. "What are you talking about."

"Listen here, moron," Inu-Yasha said. "I don't have time to piss away by chatting with you. You're camping in the middle of the damned wolf's trail, so move!"

"Whatever you're talking about," Ranma said. "I'm damned sure I don't like the tone. So unless you want to ask again politely, I ain't moving one step. 'Sides, I gotta hang around here anyway."

"Hang around here?" Inu-Yasha thought to himself, beginning to look at the matter in a more supicious light suddenly.

"Wait, triangular...point?" Ranma thought.

Two pairs of eyes narrowed.

"You wouldn't know anything about a missing girl, would you?" they both asked together.

The glared at each other silently for a moment.

"Looks like we've got some business after all," Ranma said.

"Wonderful," Inu-Yasha added. "Who you looking for?"

"My fiancee's sister," Ranma said. "She vanished two weeks ago. You?"

"A..." Inu-Yasha blushed for a moment and tried to look else before turning angry suddenly. "...a girl! I hunt monsters with her! That's it!"

"Well she ain't here," Ranma said. "You were talking about a trail?"

"If you'd MOVE!" Inu-Yasha snapped.

"All right, all right already," Ranma said, moving out of the way. "How long has your girlfriend been missing?"

"Grrr," Inu-Yasha said as he walked over to Ranma's camp site and sniffed about. "She's not my girlfriend! I work with her! That's all!... Your damnable scent is all over everything!" He paused for a moment. "She's been missing for six days her family said. I found her trail, smelled a werewolf, followed it here."

"Werewolf?" Ranma said. "Like in one of those American movies?"

"Movies?" Inu-Yasha repeated. "What fool madness is it you speak of? What in the name of hell is a movie?"

"You know a movie!" Ranma said.

"That defines things nicely, thanks," Inu-Yasha noted, sitting down heavily.

"What, got something?" Ranma asked.

"The trail reeks of magic," Inu-Yasha said. "Where-ever he went from here, he didn't walk."

"Werewolves ain't common, are they?" Ranma asked.

"How the hell should I know?" Inu-Yasha demanded. "I come from the other side of that blasted well! Fool girl, had to go off on her own, she always gets in trouble over here."

"Come on," Ranma said, gesturing.

"What?" Inu-Yasha demanded.

"I thought this was just you're average sicko," Ranma said. "But if it's a magical beastie, I know someone to talk to about this stuff."
