On the porch of this house sat Sander. He had come by to visit his family, only to find that his sister was over at the Diggers. Something about a new female werewolf. So, Sander decided to wait for his sister at her 'temporary' home while he was playing with his niece.
Sander sighed as he looked down at the innocent little girl sitting on his lap. She was watching her father and brother attentively, giggling from time to time. To be honest, he was a little envious. His sister had such a happy family, and here he was without even a mate. True, there were still many female werewolves but none fertile.
Deep down, Sander knew that was really why he was sticking around his sister's home. He was hoping to find out all he could about this new female werewolf.
So deep in thought was Sander, that he hadn't noticed his cell-phone was ringing, until Alera reached over and grabbed it from off the side fo his belt. In doing so, she actually answered it, because her hand had, coincidentally, pressed down on the right button. "Hewwo," Alera answered cutely. Her eyes then lit up in excitement. "Mommy!"
Sander blinked his eyes once then twice. He saw Alera was using his cell phone and his eyes widened. He gently took hold of Alera's hand and said, "Excuse me, sweetie, but can uncle Sander use the phone?"
Alera smiled and relinquished her grip on the phone. "Okies!" She said happily.
Sander held the phone up to his ear and spoke audibly into it. "Hello, Jetta?"
"Sander!" Jetta spoke out. "Where are you right now?"
"I'm at your house," Sander replied. "Why do you ask?"
"Good," Jetta said. She then continued. "I want you to stay there for the next couple of days."
Sander blinked his eyes once, then twice. He was hoping to get to know this new werewolf first, but knew not to question the leader of his clan. Still, he could make an enquiery as to the method behind her judgement. "Sure, Jetta, no problem. May I ask if there's a problem that you need me here."
"I need another adult to watch over the kids," Jetta said hurriedly. "Listen, Sander, I know what you're thinking, and I can tell you that if youw ant to meet the new werewolf, than it is going to have to wait. Father is back!"
Sander's eyes widened. "Father is back? How!? He's dead!"
"I'm not sure how, but he's back," Jetta answered. "And I'm needed to help the new werewolf adjust to her predicament," Jetta said with a sigh. She then added, "Besides, she's pregnant with our new 'sibling'."
Sander's eyes were wide, and he almost dropped his cell phone. "You mean, that..."
"Yes..." Jetta said at length. "She's a thrall of our father's and he had her way with her. And now she is expecting."
Sander slumped back into his chair, keeping a hand to Alera's back so she wouldn't fall off his lap. "Okay Jetta, I understand. I'll help Thabian keep an eye on the children."
"Thank you, brother," Jetta said in all honesty. Take care.
And with that, the line went down ad the connection was cut. Sander shook his head. Damn his father. Damn that bastard to hell!
Sighing, it was then that Sander decided...
