One ring to rule them all,
One ring to find them,
One ring to bring them all,
And in the harem bind them.
A long time ago, during what could only be called the mythological times, a particularly perverted mage and alchemist whose name was lost to antiquity, after a rebuffal too many, hatched this dark and cunning scheme.
He forged rings of power, exquisite in appearance, who granted the women who wore them grace, beauty and charisma. He gave them to powerful princesses as gifts of appreciation.
Three for the elves, immortal, the wisest and fairest beings on Earth.
Seven for the humans, short-lived but so passionate and prone to temptations.
And Nine for the princesses of the Moon Kingdom, whose pride and vanity were legendary.
All of them had been deceived. For another ring was forged. Deep in the fires of Mount Hentai, the mage crafted for himself the One Ring, who brought him dominion over the others.
Only a desperate alliance of the free people of Earth managed to stop the newly-christened Lord of the Harem. In the final battle, he was killed freeing the ringbearers of his perverted influence. But the One Ring was never found. Believing it lost or destroyed for good, the story was mostly forgotten. The rings of power were still passed down generation after generation.
Three centuries ago, the most unexpected of beings found the One Ring. A perverted little martial artist named Happosai. He was twisted and corrupted by its influence, his life unnaturally extended. For the Ring needed someone to move it in its search for a suitable master. Its creator had imbued it with the will to serve only him or his flesh and blood.
And then, Saotome Ranma entered the picture. He was a blood relative of the One Ring's creator on his mother's side. Using its influence, it betrayed Happosai to his students (he should regain consciousness in Antartica) and urged them to give it to Ranma, making them think it would make him pliable to their selfish schemes.
Soon, the One Ring's power would be unleashed once again. For now, Ranma had been reunited with the first of his ringslaves, the leader of the Nine, the Witch-Queen of Pluto ! It had been child's play to bring her here, the Time Stop she performed had left her vulnerable. Gone was the sailor fuku. It had been replaced by the garb appropriate for her condition as a servant of the Lord of the Harem : a flimsy transparent outfit, arabian nights style.
But for now, Ranma Saotome was trying to make sense of all this. And also how to calm down that girl who was freaking out before she woke up the whole Tendo dojo !
