Elfguest: All things dark and dangerous [Episode 68810]

by Kestral

Ryoga Hibiki trailing around a group of elves including one that had wings?!

Cologne looked at Shampoo. Shampoo looked at Cologne.

"Shampoo start fixing food."

"I'll fetch the lost boy. We have rooms below the restaurant, this might just be interesting." Cologne said as she went to go lead Ryoga back to the restaurant, grabbing a rope to make sure he didn't wander away in the meantime. Epic Quests, Battles Of Inhuman Evil Versus the Forces Of Good. "My goodness. Haven't had this sort of thing happen in years. Why couldn't it have happened more often when I was younger? Ah well."

Sanri finished casting the spell and held her hand out with the ball of flame centered over her palm.

Uncertain at the last moment, Kasumi was hesitant as she reached out for it, and her hand moved through the flame without touching it.

"No. If you had magical talent you would have been able to take the flame from my hand. Sorry," said Sanri.

"Oh, there's no other kind of magic?" Kasumi was disappointed. So much for the wise and powerful Kasumi The Gray.

"Yes, but I'm not sure what the qualifications for clerical magic would be here," said Sanri. "I don't know your native deities and only bits and pieces of the rites for others. The goddess of good drow involves something about sword-dancing naked beneath a full moon, or that could just be something a perverted writer had come up with."

"Oh dear," said Kasumi, trying not to picture the girl before her doing such a thing.

"I'll probably try it, I need to make contact with some power before my studies in that field can go further than orisons and minor spells." Sanri indicated. "Of course, I will not try to deal with my former Mistress' deity and was not able to openly worship another prior to our escape."

Kasumi's eyes strayed to the kitchen timer. Still another two minutes left in the spell that allowed the two to communicate. "What about these books?"

"I grabbed the most powerful books I could, including some I was not allowed to look at prior to our escape," said Sanri.

Unri ran into the room. "(Sanri! Look at this. They have cosmetics that are in such simple containers - premixed!)"

"...tendo nabiki..."

Nabiki looked around as she pilfered the elves' belongings. She'd find their secrets and then decide what to do. Maybe a change of careers. Though if monsters showed up regularly a change of locations might also be in the cards.

"...tendo nabiki..."

Again Nabiki looked around. The two elves were downstairs with Kasumi who was haltingly explaining what each bit of makeup did and how it was used and the two elves hung on every word. Shampoo had come by with a message for Ranma, and both Ranma and Akane were over at the Cat Cafe. The two fathers were trying to forget the debacle of last night.

"...tendo nabiki..."

Nabiki looked down at the book, one bound in old leather, with a lock on it. "A book is calling me?"

"...tendo nabiki..."

The lock was easy to pick, and Nabiki opened the book up to see a deck of cards within. She tapped the back of one, wondering what it would do. Nothing. Boldly she reached out and flipped one over.
