'This is nice,' the weretiger/former goddess admitted as she curled up on the large cushion that evening. 'Temporary lodging, easy work, and access to some nifty mortal spell componets, not to mention a location close to hunkmeister's lair.'
As it turned out, all she had to do was to was to stick her besigiled, furry head into the doorway, and suddenly she was staring into the one person's face she had NEVER expected to see. "Ku-chan?"
The whithered pru- er, suprisingly well aged and vigorous Matriarch blinked only once, then her face split into a ghastly grin. "Urd-sensei!" she squealed in a voice more suited to a girl half her great-granddaughter's age, making herself into a human necklace on the fuzzy Norn.
The pair had reminisced long into the night, trading stories of goofs and blunders. Now, as she slept, curled into a surprisingly comfortable ball, the weretiger Norn was unknowing as to the effect that her sleeping was doing to the very building she was inhabiting, thanks to being Ground Zero of that ACME 'Smart' bomb...
