'I have to wait until Shinji gets home, before I put my uniform back on,' Misato thought. 'I want to talk to him about what NERV is doing.'
Misato flopped down on a chair in the kitchen and waited. Pen-pen waddled up to her and Misato gently scratched his head. She smiled down at her pet.
"Must be weird seeing me vanish into a cloud of smoke like that. At least I do have the body for being one and can wear that costume without being embarressed."
Pen-pen looked at Misato and squawked a bit.
Misato laughed. "You're right that I am Master Shinji's pet."
The genie thought for a second and looked down at Pen-pen. "What do you know? I can understand animals."
Pen-pen did some more squawking. Misato gave an amused snort.
"At first I didn't want to be one. Now, I can't imagine not being a genie. It's part of me. I'm just glad Master Shinji is my master and not Gendo. Master has made wishes that are more for our benefit than his. The part that bothers me the most is that I need to have Master change my orders when I know he would have done so. This lack of self will outside my gem does get annoying."
Misato shook her head and waited. After a bit, she felt Shinji's presence along with her two genie sisters. She used her new senses to sense if anyone else was in the area. She sighed in releif when she felt no one else.
Shinji opened the door and let Asuka and Rei proceed into the apartment beofore him. He closed the door and locked it. After he did that, Misato stood up and kneeled before Shinji.
"Welcome home, Master Shinji," Misato said.
Shinji sighed and asked, "Thank you. Anything interesting happen at NERV, while we were at school?"
Misato nodded and explained about the sensors and her thoughts on who NERV had picked up. She even explained why she didn't do anything.
Shinji sat down and thought.
"Can the three of you working together sheilf this apartment from those sensors ability to detect us?"
Misato nodded. She snapped her fingers and her clothes shifted to her purpule genie garb. Rei and Asuka quickly followed suit and looked a bit relieved to be back in their genie clothes.
"Yes, Master. I think that the three of us can do that," Misato said.
Shinji took a deep breath, "I wish that the three of you use your powers to sheild this apartment from the sensor probes."
The three genies nodded and started glowing, sending their energy to form a sheild to stop the NERV probes. After that was done, the girls collapsed to their knees exhausted.
Shinji shook his head. 'I really should give them some more wishes, so they are in better shape to handle big wishes.'
"Girls, return to your gems"
Three trals of colored smoke rushed into Shinji's ring. After the smoke had vanished, Shinji looked at the gems on his ring.
'They actually grant the spirit of the wish and not twist it as much as possible. I wonder why."
