Nabiki was being, for the moment at least, IC. Ghost dolls? Hah. A ploy to bring in gullible tourists. Except that it had turned out to be a haunted doll and it had possessed Akane. Ghost cat? Puh-leeze. Oh, that was for real? Well, a set of haunted tunnels designed to split up a couple. No way! Way?

So Ranma having access to Phenomenal Cosmic Powers™ wasn't to be believed initially.

"Prove it, Saotome," said a bored and openly skeptical Nabiki, not realizing that the pendulum of her luck was about to slide in the other direction and her karma was about to leap off its current roadway and head downhill into the Twilight Zone. "Let's see. Oh, that would require divine intervention. Why don't you:"
