"Don't bet on it," a familiar voice chuckled from just over her shoulder. She turned her head to look into the glittering ruby eyes of her future counterpart. "But looke at the bright side," the visitor from the Thirtieth Century soothed.
Setsuna winced at the sugary tone she used on herself when she had a secret that she wanted herself to figure out. Then she moaned as that gorgan's knot of a thought made her migrane pulse like an ill-formed 'Dead Scream.' "Just. Tell. Me," she snarled at her bubbly counterpart.
Future-Setsuna stuck out the tip of her tongue at her currently-immobile past-self. "Blee," she sounded maturely. After her quick rejoinder, the fuku-clad woman pulled a sunlamp and a canvas bag from her subspace pocket. The senshi set up the light, then dug in the bag as she answered.
"This path was not the one that lead to Crystal Tokyo," Future-Setsuna said in a cheerful voice.
Caught up momentarily in a good, chlorophyll-charging stretch, sessiant-Setsuna didn't quite catch that. "Mmmmmmwha?" she purred.
The kneeling woman pulled out a rosebush fertilizer spike and a rubber mallet as she continued. "Crystal Tokyo is gone," she laughed.
This sank in, as was evidenced when some of the gravid Setsuna's hair toinged out, turned golden-red and fell out. "SAY WHAT?!!?" She had practiced her own version of 'Lina-finding-out-someone-ate-the-after-dinner-mint-first' tone of voice for occasions just like this one, and she felt that she had delivered upon her audience one of her best renditions.
Senshi looked up into the eyes of pregnant woman, glittering ruby piercing sullen garnet. "Usagi made something different," she stated simply.
Somewhat mollified and soothed, the planted jade-maned woman spoke in a level voice. "And what, oh Pu-chan, could be better than a Utopia that was envisioned by the Queen of the Silver Millenium?"
