"At least they're gone," the shop-owner sighed. "The cost of three people to get in wouldn't have made a dent in what they ate anyway. As long as they don't come back."
"Being that they were the only normal customers we've had in about a week," the assistant drawled. "In case you haven't noticed, most of our clientelle are... different."
"Eh," the owner shrugged. "Pod people are quiet, always pay, and hardly eat anything."
"But they're pod people," the assistant growled. "Aliens! Horrible creatures from beyond that intend to destroy humanity and replace us with themselves!"
"You're being racist," the owner sniffed.
"And they're lousy tippers," the assistant added.
"Eh, you get all the tip money, so I don't mind that too much. Now look sharp, we've got another customer."
Both the owner and assistant assumed completely neutral expressions as a gi-clad man with an equally neutral expression marched into the shop. He said nothing, merely taking a seat.
Respecting the process, both the owner and assistant said nothing themselves, serving the customer a half-dozen beef bowls in silence. He ate them noisely, rose, turned away, and exited the building.
"Hey, wait," the owner frowned. "He didn't pay!"
"That guy never pays," the assistant noted. "You know, I think he's...."
"Owner-san! I always loved youuuuuuuu!"
"Yaoi fanservice won't save us now, fool!"
