By the terminal Ranma saw a muscular, hairy, slightly short (for a gaijin) man in denim jeans, a white top and a jacket. He also had the air of an experienced fighter. More to the point he carried a sign with Ranma's name on it in japanese.
"Oh well" Ranma thought with a sigh, "Here goes nothin`" and walked over to introduce himself.
"Hi, I'm Ranma Saotome, sorry `bout this !" said Ranma bowing slightly to the older man, who smirked slightly in return.
"No problem kid. The names Logan. Lets go." replied Logan.
That said the two warriors made their way out of the airport and headed tothe parking garage that held Logan's vehicle.
Upon exiting the elevator upon the floor where the car was both were set on edge by their senses danger & mutant enhanced respectively.
The creaking of a car's suspension as it rose from the ground was all the warning Ranma & Logan needed to dodge either side of the vehicle come projectile!
The glass walled waiting area and the elevator were not so agile. Thusly the half ton car exploded through the plasti-glass enclosure before driving deep into the elevator shaft, the doors well & truely pushed in. Shattered glass and tile scattered wildly by the indescriminate force!
Magneto decended from the next level of the parking garage to menace them in person.
Logan released a feral growl as he rushed toward the Master of Magnetism. A drain cover leapt up to capture Logan's foot and was followed by a small car that sandwiched him with a less mobile sibling elicting a wet cough like sound from their victim.Ranma used said vehicle as a spring board to luanch himself at Magneto only to be put on the defensive by a metal barrier, like those found along a roadside, that nearly blindsided him. Not to mention a volley of nuts & bolts from a variety of angles forcing him to block using "Katchu Tenshin Amaguriken". Maintaining the dizzying assualt of small items Magneto intensified his assault by launching a volley of pipe like metal railings as spears. Ranma's tactic was harsh, on himself. Maintaining the Amaguriken defence he charged forward allowing several bolts to strike home across his back as he redirected the crude spears while closing upon his elusive foe. Magneto simply floated back over a raised level holding more cars.
"Know your folly for challenging the Master of Magnetism, Boy!" Magneto intoned ominously.
"As if Buckethead, I haven't even broken a sweat,"yelled Ranma in defiance leaping over the rise Magneto just retreated over. Right into his hands!
Unnoticed the wire fence that had once graced the edge of said rise coiled about Ranma's body in painfully tight fashion trapping his arms against his chest even as it suspended him in the air!
"You are defeated!!," claimed Magneto increasing the pressure of Ranma's bonds trying to force submission from his glaring captive.
"This isn't over!!," was the determined response as Ranma strained against the wire binding him. A slight blue aura flickering around him testiment to the fact his ki was being brought to bear. Ranma's concentraition evident as he dug into his reserves seeking the strenght to prevail.
"You should have given up,Boy! You would have saved yourself a lot of pain!," hissed Magneto as he resumed his fence wire squeeze play drawing a grimace from his captive!
"NO CHANCE!!," Ranma screamed ki flaring almost allowing him to tear through the wires that constrained his straining muscles! Magneto didn't like that. The metal barrier that nearly caught Ranma earlier savagely impacted across his spine, which arced in pained response, before fluidly coiling about him like a steel python constricting it's prey!
Ranma's mind was alight with pain. The discomfort of wires digging at his skin, deep throbbing bruises from metalic debris striking his back, stabbing pain dancing up & down his spine and now the inability to breathe added a slow burning in his lungs to the symphony of pain. He was losing. At that realization Ranma's pride surged forward!"I am Ranma Saotome and I DO NOT LOSE!!!" he roared at himself internally, clawing at the depths of his being determined to win this fight. His ki was not enough! Ranma kept seeking the power within, his pain goading him on. " Just a bit more" thought Ranma as he somehow sensed an untapped strength that lay just beyond his reach!
Magneto was growing impatient. The boy should have collapsed by now, but, his ki and willfull nature sustained against the pain and his limits.
" THIS ENDS!!," proclaimed the Master of Magnetism.
Pain rocked Ranma's consentraition as Magneto wracked him with a barrage of nuts & bolts that tore at his body as they streaked by! It almost sundered his near meditative resolve."NO! Must concentrate, Need Power!! Desperation lent Ranma the will to drive past the effects of his wounds before discovering a barrier within himself. Ranma pushed his very essence into this internal struggle...
An Almighty scream heralded the birth of Ranma's power. Searing fire in his veins matching the white hot arcs of primal energy that liberated their master from the puny metals holding him captive. Now hovering on his own power Ranma's body arced as it grew and adapted to survive the immense forces contained theirin (and blazing across his skin).
Magneto stood awestruck at the revelation of Ranma's power even as Ranma turned his will back to his foe and lashed out in furious retribution with a eye searing blast of energy. Magneto could only stare in shock as the blinding bolt's wake scorched paintjobs and tore at the concrete floor on it's journey to his ill prepared person! It swept Magneto from the building with it's force in spite the magnetic sheild instinctively raised before him. Instantly Ranma's power winked out leaving his now cosmically enhanced body to drop bonelessly to the ground!
