Yes, the point where he got his partner to evolve to the Perfection level was a moment he'd never forget... for it was at one time the most exhilarating and frightening moment of his life. If they had failed, GigaDramon would have destroyed them all.
Actually, it wasn't quite the most frightening experience. Some of the later battles were even more terrifying, but none of them had quite the significance for him.
Still, Shinji wished that his partner was with him now. But Melchior, Balthasar, and Casper - the three strange beings that often acted as guides to him and his friends - had insisted that the time was not right for Digimon to interact with humanity.
