Yes, Shinji remembered well his time in the Digital world, protecting both worlds from many different enemies. Meeting his teammates, and learning what friendship was in the midst of a war that he had to fight in... because no one else could. Learning that backing down wasn't an option, and discovering that he was far braver than he'd thought.
It was an adventure he could never forget. The fantastic digital world, the digimon inhabitants, his teammates...
