Shinji was quite different from what his father was expecting.
Mature. Confident. And stronger than many would give him credit for being, even now.
Experience does that. And Shinji all ready had more experience than people three times his age.
So as he sat, riding a train to his (and the world's) future, he thought about his adventures...
