" Damn this sucks! Aren't there any real fighters here?" the teen Saotome complained to himself aloud.
The mountain of chinese muscle next to him didn't take that too well.
" What'd you say kid?!" growled the big fighter angrily!
" These guys suck!" said Ranma completely missing the hostility in the other mans voice " No skill, poor strength, sluggish movement and practically no ki. It's almost embarassing to compete with these wimps!!"
Ranmas' tirade against the skills of the tournaments' other contestants drew several angry muscular fighters that came up and grabbed him.
" Hey lemme go!" complained Ranma.
" We don't like fighters with big mouths around here!" called a deep voice.
" Surely you can back up your words?" joined a nasal one.
With that Ranma was thrown roughly into the ring. He easily rolled to his feet unharmed by the throw. A short glance to scowl at them as his opponent, the muscled china man he'd angered earlier, stepped forward. ****************************************************
" Hey, Fei Long, I know you're a big movie star now but this stuff really takes you.."
" Check the new guy. He looks good." said the kung fu action hero staring intently at the ring as Ranma is shaken by the larger fighter!
" Wha'!" said the thin guy in shades and chinese cloathes " He's just a kid!!"

CRUNCH! Ranma leaned into the guy as he pulled him forward launching a fairly casual headbutt causing the bigger man to fall with a groan, his face smashed bloody!
" Not bad or wasit just luck?!" came a firm voice from the awestruck crowd. Ranma narrowed his eyes as his gaze fell upon Fei Long. Ranmas' eyes flashed eagerly and a smile graced his face.
" Why don't you come find out?" this guy Fei Long was exactly the calibre of fighter he'd hoped for.
" Let's do that!" Fei Long cast off his silk shirt and leapt gracefully into the ring a few excited voices already calling his name.
The two martial artists sized one another up for a tense moment. Fei Long surged into Ranma with a blistering combination of punches and elbows. Of which Ranmas' guard stopped two before the remaining attacks broke through. A shot to the gut, ablow to the face and an elbow slammed into his ribs forcing him to the dirt painfully!
" Waaagh!" cried Fei Long shifting his stance in kung fu style.
Ranma brushed some dirt from his bruised cheek and smiled as he climbed to his feet. Long packed as much punch as Ryoga and was as fast as he was! A true fight!
Ranma raised his fists in challenge with a happy smirk and fighting spirit flashing in his blue eyes.
" Hai Ko!" cried Fei Long as he advanced on Ranma. Only to have Ranma blur forward, a leg sweep forcing the crowds favorite back only to be kicked in the face as Ranma hopped forward onto the aerial specialties of the Saotome school. A reverse turning kick to Fei Longs midsection blasting him to the ground.
A few quiet gasps from the crowd the only audible proof they were still there!
Pushing a little harder Fei Long rolled forward to his feet lunging forward to strike at Ranma. This was diverted and a high kick came Longs' wayonly to be blocked. The star then dodged under a swift straight and landed a stinging kick accross Ranmas' face. A body rip hammered deep into Longs' abs from nowhere nearly doubling him over. In retaliation he was able to land a leg sweep on Ranmas' left leg shaking his balance. Long took advantage adding an elbow to the solar plexes and a tiger palm strike to the boys face reintroducing him to the ground.
Far from defeated Ranma rolled side on to his feet before his adversary. That eager grin found its way to his face again despite the stinging bruises accross his face and the warm trickle from his nose.
" C'mon is that it?!" taunted Ranma eyes narrowing. The smiles on the fighters faces never faultered.
Ranma advanced on Fei Long with a speedy four punch combination that was skillfully avoided. A strong right was launched to counter where upon Ranma made his move dodging toward Fei Long left & ahead, hands tightly in position.
" KATCHUU TENSHIN AMAGURIKEN!" a barrage of punches pelted Fei Long his guard blocking a few before being blasted aside, dozens of strikes hitting home. It ended with a strong left hook.
Fei Long spun with the final blow crouching as he turned a full 720 degrees, ki building to phantom flames around his leg!
" SHIN KICK!" Ranma barely managed a cross fist guard before impact. The powerfull ki kick launching him several feet in the air and about fifteen back! Searing ki scorching his arms and silk shirt! Breakfall upon impact saved him any further damage.
Ranma sprinted at Fei Long after flipping to his feet! His opponent set himself in a solid stance. 'Yes!' crowed Ranma mentally as he leapt over the committed Fei Long and rebounded back at him stomping a heel to the base of his neck, spinning around to launch a kick to his head. Then he slammed Fei Long with a midair sommersault kick flipping back into the air, his hands cupping at his waist with a ball of ki forming from the blue aura surging into them.
" MOKO TAKABISHA!!"
After the match Ranma had waited around to congratulate Fei Long on his skills. Even though he won it had been a good fight! The two of them got on quite well. Fei laughingly remarking on Ranmas' habitual foot in mouth while Ranma poked fun at his acting career. They'd both had a good laugh at the poor translations of his films!
The director of the film Fei Long had gone AWOL from balled him out for messing with Fei Longs face and Long for running off to play 'Karate boy' competitions! He'd also seen some potential in Ranma as an actor. A good face, agood body and the skills that made stunts childs' play. Ranma couldn't take the part, It required too much time. However some extra roles and putting him in contact with a company that did commercials would help his bottom line, as did the prize money from the tournament.
Speaking of new contacts Fei Long was able to inform Ranma of a few other tournaments where he might encounter the skilled opponents he sought.
