One slight miscalculation can cost one their life, or the life of a friend.
Working from memory, Genma slowly moved the dresser along the wall to his right. Under the watchful eye of Nodoka, home didn't seem very sweet to Genma. Having spent the better part of three hours explaining his, and his son's, curse to his wife, he was now having to deal with his dark past. Tit for tat, life is full of trades. He had convinced Nodoka that the curse wouldn't affect Ranma's manliness easy enough, but now he was opening a hidden door in the Saotome residence that leads to a hidden shrine.
Three millimeters, or less, can make a difference between life and death.
The fire crackled in the hearth, warming the room and providing a calm. Well, calm if your name isn't Dimitri. No, Dimitri has just learned that an Aenslad had crossed over into the Earth realm. Was she seeking a hidden power amongst those dirty little humans? Well, Dimitri had no intention to just sit idly by, while that damned succubus acquired the power to rule his realm! "Librarian," he bellowed, "find me another way to the mortal realm, now!"
One little action can change history forever, or leave you dead.
Inside another dream, Lilith observes a child Ranma falling from a building, which seemingly grows taller as the boy falls. "I'll learn to fall right, daddeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"
"Well," Lilith mumbled, "another nightmare." Rolling her eyes, she added silently, "Well, at least it's a normal nightmare. A falling nightmare isn't abnormal at all." However, she also noticed that a man in a panda suit was standing at the top of the building.
"Maybe I should appear the same age as he?" Lilith questioned while evaluating the situation. "Here we go again," she muttered, just before transforming into a chibi version of herself, and flying off to grab Ranma.
Ranma, while falling, noticed a girl above him with her arms outstretched towards him. As he grabbed her hands, he asked, "are you Lilith again?"
"Yes."
Cocking his head to the side, he pressed for more, "Why are you my size?"
No longer falling, chibi Ranma and chibi Lilith stood on the roof again, while the panda suit (that is now noticed to be empty) begins dancing. The dancing, empty, panda suit held up a sign, "You have to fall correctly." Then, the sign flipped to the other side, "what would your fiancee think?"
Rolling her eyes again, Lilith had enough of the rambling panda-signs. "I think I don't like pandas," she sneered; then, she slapped him away with a thrust of her bat wing.
When chibi Ranma hugged her, she could only think, "Now if I could only get him this far when he's not having a nightmare."
Sometimes, when the heart skips a beat; it never starts again.
It was another sunny day in Nerima. Indeed, it was another sunny day in which the myriad of martial artists would converge on their singular target. Ranma. While each had their own selfish reasons, they all had one goal--beat Ranma Saotome.
The combat would begin with...
