Lilith felt a chill staring at the rocky crevice above. The rocky hill had a bad air about it, with few scattered trees and a rickety old shrine nearby. Above, she could see her quarry, Ranma, who was climbing the face of the hill. "This isn't right," she thought, "why is the guy dreaming about something like this?"
Within seconds, a small dragon shot out of the cave, knocking Ranma and some overweight man down. It twisted it's long slender body above her, and she could swear there as some orchestra playing some thunderous tune in the background. Then, the dragon eyed her! Without wasting anytime thinking about the subject, Lilith faded from the younger Saotome's dreams, "Gyaaaah!"
::: The Following Day :::
Morrigan was not happy. She had the jitters all day, and, for the life of her, she couldn't tell why. Jitters or not, she was going to see her plan to turn the cursed form of Ranma into a succubus. Thus, she spent the day scoping her targets, and looking for clues to how Ranma would react to the people around him.
She watched him duck away from Shampoo, Ukyou, and even the fiancee he lived with, Akane. Then, she noticed how he reacted violently towards the advances of the shriveled up old geezer and that deluded samurai. Laughing, she thought, "with as screwed up as his life seems to be, I could very well walk into it without a one of them thinking twice about it!" This could be as fun as it was challenging, and she would really rub the old man's face into it when she succeeded.
In a generation past, it was a Saotome that devastated her great-aunt. Saotome Gin, the silver horse, had killed her aunts husband to be on their very wedding night. How horrible the Saotome clan must be that Gin would kill her own brother, Kin! Indeed, it was to be a union to help bridge the gap between humans and darkstalkers. However, Gin, and her entire clan, were to do all they could to prevent that gap from ever closing.
The darkstalkers had a entirely different set of needs that humans, but they weren't all necessarily evil. Well, that was what Morrigan believed anyway. However, she was still to have her revenge upon that vile clan of hunters!
::: Later :::
Lilith was livid, the entire day had been a sham. Since when did Morrigan become so careful? Ah well, the guy was asleep now, and maybe his dreams wouldn't be so, well, dangerous. The hell was wrong with him? A dragon? She shuddered, thinking that dragon looked a little to realistic to just be a fanciful dream.
"Well," she thought, "this is looking better." The air was crisp, and she guessed that Ranma was dreaming of an autumn evening. She noticed that the area was a bit out of a town, and a perfect setting for her to seduce him. She also remember the tale of Gin and Kin, but there was another way to appease the blood feud than to kill the guy or turn him into a succubus (which somehow seemed to be against the boys very being).
"Speaking of Ranma," she whispered, as she realized that he was nowhere to be seen.
"Gyah!" she said as her footing gave, and she found herself sliding into a hole. Instinctively, her bad wings unfolded, slowing her descent. Nearing the ground, she noticed a bunch of.... Cats???
The cats were apparently fighting tooth and nail over some scraps of food. Food that she noticed that was strapped to the body of a young child. With two thrusts of her wings, she snatched the child up, and was streaking towards the sky with a shaking child in her arms.
Slowing to a hover, she took a moment to look at the child in this twisted nightmare world. "Ranma?" she asked.
The child looked back at her, "Hey lady, are you a guardian angel or sumptin'?"
Blinking, the succubus was at a loss of how to deal with this, so she nervously nodded her head. That's when the boy wrapped his arms around her, and mumbled, "Can you take me home? I wanna' go home."
Landing, Lilith released the boy. She had failed. Again. If Ranma had only nightmares, how was she to seduce him? How could someone go through life with nightmare after nightmare? To her surprise, the child didn't just run off. He had the gumption to grin at her, "Thanks! I'm going to be the best martial artist ever, and I'll help you one day too!"
"Lilith."
"Huh," the boy replied intelligently.
"My name is Lilith."
"Okay Miss Lilith! Buh-byee!"
