"...would you say that... again?"
The genie simply sighed. "Just make a wish."
"I wish you'd tell me where I am!"
The genie smiled. "I'll take that as your wish, then." She snapped her fingers, and the lamp went from Ranma's hands back to the hands of the Genie. "Given where we are, I'm surprised I can still do that much."
"Well... where am I?"
"This is sort of the boundary between your world and mine. Most people from here can't get to your world or mine, with the exception of those that the royal family says it's okay for. This... is a kingdom of magic..."
"A kingdom of magic?"
"The Kingdom of Magic, to be precise. Here, the only magic that works is magic of those that belong here. I'm sure that Kanro will be able to tell you more about it."
"You're not just gonna leave me here, are you?"
"Of course not. I can't just magic myself out of here. Not without help from the royal family, anyway."
"And what am I supposed to do?"
"Come with me, I guess. Not much use staying out here, anyway. Besides, Kanro's dad is the butler to the princess."
"If I go with you, will I be able to get back to Akane?"
"It's not very possible, but it's possible. The wish was made in the heat of jealousy. Since I had to make it so that you and Akane had never met, not only will any attempt you make to meet her be frustrated; she also does not know that you exist."
"This is a good thing?"
"It's a good thing. Trust me. Her memories and history have been altered, but her heart has not."
"How does that help me?"
"She still loves you. She just doesn't know you." A carriage appeared, with Akane driving it. Or at least, it looked like Akane.
"Akane?" Ranma asked the Akane look-alike.
"Kanro? Kanro, I thought you were gonna be with Camille and Robelia today."
The genie looks at "Akane" and says "Kanro should still be with Camille and Robelia. This is his human, Ranma."
Ranma looks at the genie and starts to growl "What do you mean, I'm Kanro's Human? and who is this, if it ain't Akane?"
"Akane" looks at Ranma, looks at the genie, looks back at Ranma, and starts to laugh. "I'm so sorry, Ranma! I didn't realize it was you! We hardly ever get any visitors from Earth. Akane's my human... or is it that I'm Akane's Doppel?"
Mihoshi looked at her. "I think, for his sake, we should go with the second one. Hey, are you going into town? We need a lift, and I need to get back to Genea soon."
"Akane" looked at her a little more closely. "You're Mihoshi, right? The genie who's lamp was sent to Juusenkyo and forgot about?"
Ranma looked at Mihoshi. "Juusenkyo. Exactly when were you there?"
Mihoshi looked at Ranma. "Juusenkyo curse, I take it? Relax, given your age, I was long gone before you would have fallen in." She turned back to "Akane" and smiled. "Does Kanro still have that Gender-Swap pendant that Erika made?"
