Since Akane would call him all kinds of stupid for wasting a wish and bash him for hanging around with floating blondes (at least in his own perspective) he had decided to give Akane the wish, as she in her infinite wisdom would know better.

Instead by wishing she'd never see him again, Ranma was being sent to another reality.

In this case:

• it's a pokemon world.
• the field he was in was actually a hydroponics room on a starship.
• it was a distant world devoid of humans.
• it was a world of epic fantasy.
• it was a world of some fairly bizarre happenings.
• something else
