Brianna blinked at her elder blonde sister. What the hell was that smile for? It wasn’t like she was going to sell something was it? Nahh... “Okay, so what is this deal sis?”
“Well, Brianna,” Gina started, using all her acting skills to appear excited, “Daddy set up a blind-date for me! He’s supposed to be a REALLY great guy!”
The taller blonde nodded at that. Oh, so her sister was here to tell her about another date she had. Joy! “That’s... Swell, sis.” She shook her head to try and dispel what negative feelings she was feeling from that and turned back to her projects. “Is that all you wanted to tell me?”
Shaking her head, Gina started to appear to become sad. “No, Brianna. Unfortunately, I’m just TOO busy this evening, and I can’t go out.” Gina then appeared to sigh. “But rather than cancel the date with that Asian stud-muffin, I was hoping you would take my place.”
Brianna stopped what she was doing and snapped her head at Gina so fast that Gina was slightly afraid her youngest sis would get whiplash. “What!? YOU are too BUSY to go on a DATE with a HUNK!?” The Lycanthropoid looked at her with wide eyes. Since when the hell did Gina turn down dates with good-looking guys!?
Nodding her head slowly, Gina answered, “Yeah, Brianna. There is an upcoming meeting of the minds at the Archaeologist’s Society that will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I can’t miss out.” She smiled and looked at Brianna pleadingly. “So please, make sure you take care of the guy, all right?”
Her eyes wide, Brianna nodded slowly, although inwardly she was jumping for joy! “Okay sis.” She was FINALLY going to go on a date. She mentally winced though, what would he really see in her? “Hopefully he never meets Gina or Brit,” Brianna mentally thought. True, Brit was married, but that didn’t stop the guys from going after her. And Gina was good looking. Brianna mentally sighed. Hoping beyond hope that this guy never met Gina or Brit until after they had a chance to have a relationship.
Gina smiled brightly. “Oh thank you, Bri! You don’t know how much this means to me!” She gave her little sister a big hug. “You don't know the favor you’re doing for me.”
Brianna nodded to her. “Um, sure. No problem sis,” blinking her eyes, Brianna asked, “Um, when’s the date?” It was funny to see Brianna start to act quite nervous at the thought of going on a date.
Smiling, Gina answered, “Tonight at five.”
Grimacing a little, Brianna nodded. “Okay sis.” Hoo boy! What the HELL was she going to wear?
Patting Brianna on the shoulder, Gina said, “You’ll do fine, Brianna. After all, dad said he came all the way from Japan. He might make for interesting conversation.” Brianna nodded. “Okay.” So the guy was from Japan. Should she find someone in town who could make Kimonos? Or maybe some casual-formal wear? Oooh, she didn’t want to come off as someone who didn’t care, nor slutty. “ARRGH! This is hard!” The Lycanthropoid of the cheetah persuasion thought to herself.
Gina blinked her eyes at the series of unusual facial expressions Brianna made. “Just be yourself,” Gina offered, hoping it would put whatever was bothering Brianna at ease.
And thus, Gina took off running like a bat out of hell.
Brianna groaned. “Great.” Now what was she supposed to do? She shook her head. Well, there was a date set up, might as well try it out. She winced as a thought came to her. “I hope he doesn’t mind girls that are taller than him. I REALLY hope I don’t mess this up.” She didn’t have many chances to get a boyfriend, or even a new friend. She just hoped that she didn’t mess this up.
PeeBri, who Brianna had stopped paying attention to, looked up. “Mommy?”
At the little voice, Brianna shook her head. “Yeah PeeBri? What is it?”
“Are you gonna find us a daddy?” PeeBri asked innocently. “PeeGi and I would really like a daddy.”
The Lycanthropoid went stone-stiff at that moment. “Wha? Huh? You want a daddy?” Hoo boy!
PeeBri would have nodded her little head, had she had a neck. “Uh-huh. Want mommy to be happy. Daddies make mommies happy.”
“Eh heh." Brianna chuckled rather nervously at that. “Well, um...” She looked at her Peebo Scout with wide eyes. Who would have thought that the little gadget would think like that? It sure surprised Brianna, and she made them! “Should I give this a chance PeeBri?”
Scrunching her features in deep though, PeeBri looked cuter than anything else. Finally, PeeBri said, “Go mommy! Mommy should be happy! And a daddy would be nice, too!”
Brianna chuckled and lifted the little automaton up and rubbed her nose onto the front of it. “PeeBri?”
“Yeah, mommy?” PeeBri asked.
Looking down, Brianna smiled at the little artificial intelligence bit-bomb. “Thank you. You talked me into going.”
Smiling proudly, PeeBri cheered, “Go mommy!”
Brianna chuckled at that. “I guess I’ll have to.” She then blinked. “Oh gods! I have to get ready! AHH!!” She put down PeeBri and started to do a lot of hustle and bustle to get ready for the date.
Watching her creator run back and forth about the room, tossing about clothing and knocking over other items, PeeBri smiled cutely. “Mommy silly.”
