"No you didn't," Gina said. "You turned tail and ran on me like a bunch of chickens."
"Well, that should have told you something!" Brianna said. A glare from Gina got her quieted down somewhat. "I mean come on, Gina, you've really been sticking your neck out recently. Why risk it over something even you said was just of side interest?"
"Well it's too late to cry over it now," Gina muttered.
"Well, you were not born this way," Strype offered. "Perhaps there is something your father can do to help."
"I'd really rather try taking care of this without telling Mom and Dad about it," Gina said sheepishly.
"Oh no," Britanny said. "We have an archmage right down at the end of the tunnel at Mom's and Dad's place, you're going down to get a magic check-up and that's that."
"At least tell me how to change back to human, Brit," Gina said. "I'd rather not just spring this thing on them. Especially Mom, could you imagine how she'd get if she knew about this?"
"If I knew about what?" a distinctive female voice asked behind them all.
