Of course, since it had been a public place, Gar had to be in his human form while drinking, which meant he did not have his lycanthrope healing on hand to dilute the alcohol through his system quickly.
Gar was making his way to the shundosai in the backyard as to get himself and Luan to someplace quiet to they could sleep off their beginning hangovers. However, as Gar made it further into the backyard, he saw Julia looking over her daughter as she was moving stone to... What was she making? A maze? "Possibly a labyrinth," Gar thought with a chuckle. "Damn, I wonder what Brianna did to get on her mother's bad side."
Waling over to Julia, Gar was about to say something.. Until Julia turned to him with the hardest glare he had ever seen her give. He noticed even Luan seemed to come back to it a little.
Julia just stared at her two students hard. "Well I hope your happy."
Gar blinked his eyes once, then twice. "Uh... I guess... Sensei, what's wrong?"
Scoffing, Julia said, "Impromptu training journey, my foot! What happened? Did Britanny or Brianna warn you that Gina was going to someplace dangerous, so you three high-tailed it out of there?"
Gar blinked his eyes in total surrprise. "W-what are you talking about!?"
Luan, having started to wake up a little, and still a bit more drunk, was more reckless than Gar and spoke her mind. "What're you talkin' about? We had to go out with Carla this morning. She dragged us off for training."
Julia raised an eyebrow. While she was not appreciative of the state two of her students were in, she somehow just 'felt' that Luan had told teh truth with that simple, slightly slurred question. "So you didn't know Gina had to go? Well, what happened to you two then?"
"Well, sensei, it's like this. Carla had won a contest, because she was running about the mall screaming about a meteor coming to the earth after seeing that movie."
"Excuse me?"
"Yeah, seems the contest was 'stupid human tricks'. Anyway, as her prize was to recieve a free couple round of drinks at a new bar that had opened today."
"I see..." Julia said at length. "So what's the problem? You two shouldn't have come back so plastered!"
"Well, sensei, Carla would ONLY get the drinks free if she drank all her order, and it had to be over five-hundred dollars."
"So she went to you and Luan for help?" Julia asked, now understanding. "I take it you two made it or..."
"Yes, Sensei, we did it," Gar said with a slight smile. "And Carla, Luan, and I have our picture framed and hanging in a new earth bar.
Sighing, Julia grumbled and rested her face in her hand. Wel, at least she felt a little better about her students. They hadn't turned their backs on her daughter in her time of need. Two of them had been dragged off by the third to get wasted at a local bar...
Wait a minute... Get wasted at a local bar!?
Groaning, Julia looked up at Gar and Luan. Yep. Carla wasn't with them. "Tell me... Do either of you know where Carla is?"
"I can't really say, Sensei," Luan answered. "The last time we saw her was... Sometime before I started practicing life-saving techniques with Gar..."
Seeing Gar blush, Julia asked, "Which one?"
"They called it CPR..." Luan answered.
Raising an eyebrow, Julia looked at Luan and asked, "What happened?"
"Gar chocked on an olive pit in his drink," Luan said. "I had to pry it out with my tongue..."
Julia's eye twitched. She could have gone without that tidbit of knowledge. "Great, now we also have to go find Carla as well..."
"YOOHOO!!!" Came a cry crom the edge of the backyard, a voice that was definitely belonged to Carla. "I HATH RETURNED!"
Looking over to the side, Julia's eyebrow twitched as she saw Calra had returned... And she brought back a few guys as well.
The group that Brought Carla home was...
