Not being familiar with anyone with that name except for movie creations, this got more attention from the crowd.
The guy, who looked like a teacher, wore a labcoat. Though labcoats normally didn't have wizardly-looking symbols on them. Labcoats were also normally not black and gray either. All right, maybe it wasn't a labcoat.
"Kimera is art! I'll say it again. Kimera is art!" said the Professor, producing a lecturn from somewhere.
The blonde looked through his glasses at the crowd. "Why are animal-eared girls great? Not only because they look cute, but also it's because you can image fight by adding that animal's characteristics! For example, cats are little mischievous lovers. Dogs are loving partners. Bunnies are the lonesome, bullied, 'I wanna protect them' type. More like that!"
"Huh? Wha?" said various members of the crowd.
"Now then, BEHOLD!" said the Professor, pushing a button and causing a teleport effect to produce a robot pig with attachments that looked like something from the JSDF in a Godzilla movie. "Mimigar Z!"
The crowd stared at the gadget with the odd electrode pointing in their direction.
Ranma decided to take flight. Moving target wasn't as hard to hit and he didn't like the way this was developing.
"Today we shall use this to teach what animal ears are!" said the Professor, posing dramatically. "NOW! Switch on!"
Oversized vaccuum tubes glowed. Little whirligigs whirled. Spark emitters sparked. Mimigar Z's eyes lit up.
KZOT! went a spray of pink lightning.
POOF! went a large number of people, now sporting a variety of animal ears and tails and occasional other bits.
Ranma dodged, jinked, and rose out of the immediate area of effect. Since dragon eyes were meant for picking out prey at an altitude he had no trouble seeing:
