Genma and Soun waited with anticipation the effect of their latest draw. With the union of the schools secured, fate would surely grant them another boon!
The card flipped and showed a snarling dragon coiled around a hourglass. The creature in the picture moved and glared at the two fathers.
Choice was made, Genma Saotome. One of two cards to be drawn now and forever
The Trial
For one hour, fight or flight, for your death is sought by a fiend of might
No more cards to be drawn
Once again, the card returned to the deck as he was shuffling itself, leaving Genma a little puzzled at the announcement.
Suddenly, the two martial artists felt a chill crawl along their spines. Their danger sense screamed that something nasty was now behind them!
Genma looked at Soun. Soun looked at Genma. They both gulped and sloooooowly turned around to face whatever was in the room with them.
Black smoke was pouring out of a pentacle on the floor with an ominous rumble. An inhuman shape emerged...
