Ranma opened his eyes. This was a different way of awakening then he was used to. "Yeah?"
KNOCK KNOCK.
This was definitely different then what Ranma was used to waking up to. "Who's there?"
DEATH.
It was at this point that Ranma took a closer look at the figure in front of him. Black robe, check; scythe, check; skull for face, check; unfortunately, Ranma didn't know much about Western symbolism, so he merely tried to rub his head. And noticed his hand was rather transparent. "What happened?"
The figure said A RATHER EMBARISSING INCIDENT. APPEARANTLY, YOUR SPIRIT WAS FORCABLY EJECTED FROM YOUR BODY DUE TO AN OVERFLOW OF MAGIC UPON A BODY THAT WAS OVERTIRED.
Ranma went back over his day; Happy and Kodachi had been hanging around during breakfast, and he had tried to eat lunch at the Nekohaten and there had been some distractions while his food was being put in front of him, so that meant Moose and Shampoo had probably tried something, and Cologne had put something else in to neutralize it; and then there was the fight with Ryoga, and dinner had been made by Akane, while Pops and Soun had been very happy for some reason (probably the usual one); a complaint about the food had earned him a mallet on the head, and next thing he knew he was here.... "Where is here, exactly?"
THE SPIRIT WORLD, I BELIEVE YOU WOULD CALL IT. YOU ARE NOT DEAD, HOWEVER. The figure took out a glass egg timer that was flowing upwards. I HATE IT WHEN THEY LEAVE ME TO SORT OUT THINGS LIKE THIS. I AM DEATH, THE FINAL CERTAINTY, NOT A TROUBLESHOOTER. I WAS SUPPOSED TO TAKE YOU BACK TO YOUR BODY, BUT THERE WAS A COMPLICATION...
