She wasn't in the mood to be a one-night stand tonight. Especially for someone who was probably too drunk to get it up. She was interested, however, in action of a similarly primal nature. Harvard was close to the sea, as the existence of the Harvard yachting club attested too, but she rarely had time between her folklore classes and her pre-law classes to get out and hunt as much as she'd like.
Which was why she was taking this long vacation on the island rather than taking more classes. She needed to unwind. And she didn't have the money to afford a trip back home to Tokyo. Amity was close, she'd been there a couple of times, and aside from a close call with a sharker last year, the hunting was safe and good.
She stretched out again as she walked out of the ring of firelight and stepped silently forward into the water.
Less than a minute later, a sleek and speedy shark was prowling the night waters. Senses were piqued to detect the presence of prey anywhere about.
It was a very quick moment later that she felt the sounds of thrashing less than a mile down the beach. She considered that sensation for a moment...
