"I told you we don't have time for that," Marik's spirit yelled to the thief. "Every second that we stand here, the distance between us and Kaiba's blimp grows more and more"
"In that case we had better get-ugh," Bakuron cut herself off before falling to her knees.
"What is it?" Marik asked the red head as she fell to the ground. Not that he was particularly concerned, but as it was, this creature was the only way he could reclaim his body.
"It seems that the battle with Yugi's other self and you took more out of me than I had originally thought," Bakuron told the ghost. "I can't maintain my control over this body for much longer."
"What's that supposed to... mean?" Marik asked after hesitating on the last word because of the sight in front of him. One moment, the body that the spirit of the millennium ring had been a short red-haired girl of Asian origins. But right as the possessing entirety lost its grip, the person in front of him changed into a teenager of about the same age with black hair, only this one was male.

With a groan Ranma slowly got to his feet and blinked a few times as the mother of all headaches assaulted him. At first he thought Akane had snuck up on him in the street for some stupid reason or another, but then he remembered that Akane was miles away and in another city entirely.
So that brought up the question, what the heck happened?
"Well now that's something you don't see everyday," a voice behind him mumbled. Of course this immediately caused Ranma to jump around and look around; his statement caused by the fact that he hadn't felt anyone approach at all.
Although when he did get a look at the speaker, it only made him more confused. There was a boy about his age in front of him with darker than normal skin and silver white hair. But the weird thing was that the guy was also transparent, and just floating there like a ghost. Which led Ranma to the conclusion that he probably was one.
"Uh, who or... what are you?" Ranma asked after a moment. But of course he thought it best to ask.
"You mean you don't... no of course you wouldn't," Marik mumbled to himself before shaking his head. Great this was all he needed. His one shot at godhood gone because that blasted spirit of the ring couldn't keep some cursed boy possessed for more than fifteen minutes.
Well, perhaps all wasn't lost. If he played his cards right the boy in front of him might be fooled into following along with his plans long enough for the spirit of the ring to recover for its next battle.
The only problem was, how to convince a total stranger to help him?
"Excuse me?" Ranma replied, a bit confused at the ghost's mumblings. Although with his luck, the stupid thing probably wanted him to do something for it; hell, everyone else did.
"Since you seem to be at a loss for words Marik, I'll fill this one," a female voice spoke up from behind Ranma, and for the second time that night he found himself jumping back to find the person who had snuck up behind him without notice. Only this time, even someone with as much personal experience as Ranma when it came to all things weird was a little freaked out.
Floating only a few feet away there was another ghost, only it was...her, or him, or... okay, it looked just like Ranma's female form, but there were a few minor differences. Although the girl ghost did have Ranma's looks when he was a she, there was a creepy look in her eyes that seemed to just suck all the 'cuteness' out of her. "Okay," Ranma spoke up before taking a deep breath. "WOULD SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?"
From her position in the air, the ethereal from of Bakuron floated there for a few moments while looking at her unwanted partner. Unfortunately 'partner' was the only term Bakuron could think to use at the moment and not the more appealing one of slave. So at the moment she couldn't exactly start barking orders either, and after that look into Ranma's past while she had made a detour within his soul room before appearing on the outside, she knew the boy wasn't the type to go along with the whole world domination thing she had planned for the near future.
So, just how could she get the idiot in front of her to go along long enough to get her normal body back?
