"You aren't engaged to her anymore, so a primary point she's angry with you about is no longer valid," pointed out Rei. "However, if you feel that you still need to rescue her due to the obligations of honor or duty - then I shall assist you in that regard."
"Huh?" Ranma asked.
"What the yuki-onna means," explained Asuka, catching herself before she could say 'wondergirl', "was that she'll help. So will I. Let me just make a couple of calls."
"Me too," said Captain Katsuragi. "I can see if the radar sweeps pulled up a header on that. Errr. My flight privledges are currently on hold, can anyone else pilot?"
Ranma blinked.
"I've got school tomorrow," complained Maya. "Let me know if there's anything I can research at the library or do in between classes though!"
Ranma nodded absently. The idea began to penetrate that he had several girls here who claimed to be fiancees but these girls weren't trying to kill each other. In a way, it was a nice change.
"Count me in too!"
Everyone blinked at that, then turned to the newcomer.
"Let me guess, you're Ranma's fiancee?" Nabiki asked. Not realizing that this was another fiancee from a wish that Ranma had made, nor that this was the one supplied by a near-sighted goddess of the Aesir named Astrild. That she'd taken someone else who never found love and came to an unhappy (to a Norse goddess of love) at least ending and been given a chance just as the Eva crew had.
