What was it in his Karma that prevented Aku’s destruction? Why wasn’t he aloud to destroy the monster!? I was not fair! He had trained so long, fought so hard to oppose the tyranny of Aku. His cause was just, his spirit was pure, so why the hell couldn’t he ever win?
The tunnel vanished and he fell to the ground. Unlike his part trip, it was only a few meters compared to a few hundred, but still, it hurt.
He sat up with a groan and looked around. It took him a moment to take it all in, but it stunned him. He was in a city, not unlike those in Aku’s future. Huge and bustling with technological spectacles where ever one could look, but at the same time, all the writing was in his own language, and he was sitting before the arches of a shrine?
Had he come to another time? A future where he had defeated Aku? Was this this future his victory would create?
He had to discover what was going on. Slowly he stood up, and his eyes turned to the entrance to the shrine. It had been too long since he’d been able to properly put himself at peace with his ancestors and the priest must know something.
With a heart filled with confusion, Jack began toward the shrine.
