Current location is the ruined city of Dahal. Prior to the War, it was a thriving community of lizard-men whose civilization was quite accomplished with specialization in water magic. Since then they have slid into barbarism.
"What's a 'lizard-man'?" asked Ranma.
"Hs-s-s-s-s-s-sk," said something crawling out of a hole.
"Never mind," said Ranma, tucking the Mimir away. Looked like he had an answer. Reptile kind of critter except it was standing on its rear legs and holding a club. "I take it you're not going to give me directions to the nearest human city."
"HsssssssssaaaaaaAAAAA!" said the lizard-man, charging forward and lifting its club.
Ranma blocked, twisted, and kicked. The lizard man let out a screech and fell.
"Well, that was pretty pathetic," summed up Ranma.
"H-s-s-s-a." "Hssska." "Hsaaaaa." "Tk-k-k-k-k."
Ranma frowned thoughtfully and slowly turned. At least twelve of them. "Me and my big mouth."
Cologne sighed as the sounds of pummelling continued in the background. "Children."
"She kill airen," said Shampoo. "We string her up and get tar and feathers. Is okay, okay?"
"Ranma isn't dead," said Cologne. "Nabiki here was quite cooperative in revealing exactly what was said."
"Hold the pickles, hold the lettuce," said Nabiki cheerfully.
"After a couple of pressure points, that is. Of course, at this point just trying to get anything coherent out of her would be impossible," admitted Cologne. "It'll take an hour to wear off. Imagine someone trying to blackmail a helpless old woman like myself. How sad."
"Weebles wobble but they don't fall down," said Nabiki apologetically.
"Of course her memory will be a little scrambled for awhile," mused Cologne. "Still, I'm sure that once she recovers from this she'll be somewhat more cooperative in the future. In the meantime, none of you can kill Miss Tendo."
"We ain't killing her," said Ukyo, fanning the little fire that Akane was hanging suspended over. "We're just letting her know how unhappy we are that she made that wish. So if Ranma isn't dead, where is he?"
"Another universe, I suspect," said Cologne. "That way he would never encounter Akane again - which was her wish. So if we throw her into the universe he is in, we can have him return to this universe. Providing we find a way to cross dimensions."
"Of course I'll hold that football for you, Charlie Brown," speculated Nabiki.
"So we cannot roast this harridan?" Kodachi asked, holding up her bag of marshmallows. "I'd already ordered the tar and feathers."
"Gotta moose, Gotta moose," agreed Nabiki. "Will you do the fandago?"
"No," said Cologne. "This will require some research on our part."
Ranma went through the stuff that looked valuable that he could find in the various lairs. This stuff looked like coins. This stuff looked like gems. This stuff looked like garbage.
Taking a bag that didn't look too badly messed up, he gathered the gems and coins and set off.
He didn't know what lay ahead of him, but there sure wasn't a lot here.
