Tuxedo Belldandy and Lovely Warrior Keiichi: The Moon and the White-Starred Cat [Episode 77601]

The bandage peeled of fairly cleanly from the fur, revealing a white, four-pointed star in the center of the feline forehead. The cat stared at Keiichi for a moment with wide eyes, and Keiichi felt as if he were being measured, if his worth was being summed up in those seemingly intelligent eyes. Then the cat blinked, breaking eye contact for a moment.

With a sudden move, the cat jumped away from Keiichi, skittering off into the alley, the black fur melting into the shadows.

"Weird cat." Keiichi rose, shaking off the uncanny feeling that filled him, some of the warmth of the sun returning to a body that felt suddenly chilled.

Then, he remembered where he was, and perhaps more importantly, when he was.

"Ack! I'm never going to make it before Richardson-sensei locks the door to the room!"

In the shadows, the cat watched as Keiichi flew out of the lot in an effort to get to class on time. While somewhat pleased to have those brats pulled off his hide, he was still displeased.

"Him?" the cat said, in a rather human voice. "Why him?"

No answer seemed to be forthcoming from anywhere, above or below.

He sighed, shaking his head, and slipped away into the darkness.

Keiichi caught the door with his hand on it's way towards closing, panting a little for breath. [Gomen, Richardo- Er, sorry, Ms. Richardson.]

[Just made it, hmm?] she smiled at him a little as she let him slip into class It was a smile without warmth, a predatory smile. [Page 141, everyone. I've decided that I've been a bit lax in this class. So to speed things up, tomorrow we will be having a test on this chapter tomorrow that will be worth 15% of your mark.]

The rumbling in the class was instant and built as classmates explained things to the slower members of the class. A hand was raised unsteadily.

[Yes, Yuriko?] Ms. Richardson asked calmly.

[We haven't done that chapter yet, though. Or the one before it!] Yuriko managed, nervously. She was actually one of the better students, having spent a year in New Zealand after high school. [And this is difficult material!]

[Then you better get studying then, hadn't you. Free study, class, good luck.] With that, she turned and walked out of the room, leaving a stunned class, who began very quickly to panic. She smiled to herself as she left, her eyes glowing strangely. "Study hard, silly mortals. The more you study, the more your life force will be lost into your texts, and the more the Negaverse will thrive!" She laughed quietly, her heels clacking against the linoleum as the sounds of panic filled the classroom behind her.

Keiichi groaned as he dropped his bag in the entranceway, flopping into a chair. What a long day. He was so glad it was over. What had gotten into Ms. Richardson, especially? Well, there was only one thing to do, and that was to get studying.

Stretching, he stood up with the intent of grabbing an evening snack and hitting the books, but he was interrupted by...
